As convenient as this place is to the River Center and other downtown attractions - it is not by any means a superb hotel. For starters, it looks very nice because of the beautiful lobby offered - waterfalls, restaurants, glass elevators - - looks like a gem.
The rooms on the other hand were sort of grimy. To start off, I am not a fan of Sleep Number Beds - and the Radisson chain plants these in all of their rooms - even though these mattresses are uncomfortable - that is not the reason I am complaining, so I will stop here onm that subject. There were a lot of areas in the room that were just not dusted. Tops of frames/artwork, sides of dressers, corner vacuuming was poor - stuff like that.
What really made me almos gag was on my final morning there I decided to soak in the bathtub (I was sore from the Sleep Number). As I was laying down in the tub, I glanced over at the soap dish to grab the soap.... NASTY film, dirt, grime, and scum was all caked up under the dish - it was obviously not wiped down for MANY monthsm if not in over a year. It was so bad I had to take a photo of it to show people - bad news. Makes you wonder how clean everything else is.
In addition, the noise level in this place on the weekends is way out of control - and it is NOT the guests! I was trying to sleep in my room (with the fan ON), and they had music playing down in the lobby. Now this was not elevator type music - it was a rock band playing oldies and classic rock songs. I could literally lay in my bed after 9:30pm (after working a trade show all day) and hear the words to "867-5309 - Jenny Don't Lose my Number". It was that loud that I could hear the song's words! I was releived to hear the band stop playing at 10pm so I could sleep - but it was just a 15 minute break and they were back at it by 10:15!! BAd news for a tired traveller. As if that was not bad enough, by 10am they then had a jazz band performing right out of my room in the breakfast brunch buffet they have. LOUD PLACE - and that sound just echos throughout the facility.
Would not suggest this place - dirty, loud, and uncomfortable beds.
(I travel all over the country with my job, and I contribute on EVERY hotel I stay in. Trip Advisor has been a great tool for me, and I contribute fairly, for both good and bad facilities.)
