My son and I stayed here in July 2011, on our way to see family in Michigan. We picked this Hotel for the pool, and were expecting to have a nice little stay there. The night we got there, we went swimming. There was a jagged piece of PVC pipe sticking out in the round section of the pool, and my son cut his foot on it pretty badly. Took off several layers of skin, bled real bad and he was unable to swim anymore because of it. The chlorine really stings and open wound. We went to the main desk for help and were given some band aids to dress it. In the morning, I went to discuss it with the manager, but she was extremely rude and condescending, and tried to blame it on my son. Without even looking at the injury or the piece that cut him, she assumed he had been pushing off the light and therefore blamed him for his injury. He was NOT pushing off the light. Pushed off the wall, where this pipe was sticking out. He didn’t know there was a pipe there, and that it had a really sharp/jagged edge. I've called a few times, expecting some kind of apology or compensation, like a courteous free night's stay, but have heard absolutely nothing from the management at all. A couple of the employees were really nice, and I emailed pictures to them of the injury. They said they would talk to the owner about the manager's rudeness and the injury and that we should hear back soon, but 5 months later, we still haven't heard a word from them. The room was decent, but this incredibly rude management is unacceptable. I will never go back there.

Grandchild and her parents & friends were booked at this facility for a special birthday party, utilizing the Birthday Party Room(s). Rooms are very nice. However when the girls used the swimming pool/hot tub, those who were swimming and even those who were just watching, were overcome by the extremely strong chlorine odor. Several of the girls were having throat burning, coughing and skin irritation after being in the pool area. Adults who were not swimming complained of eyes and throat buring sensattions. Brought this concern to the attention of staff on duty, however, there was no on site manager available. Request was strongly made to be sure management was made aware of this problem. Problem appears to be that there is inadequate ventilation in the pool area. To solve the problem, staff opened the outside back door to the pool. Helped some to reduce the chlorine odor but that was a problem in itself allowing entrance of unauthorized people or animals into the pool area & subsequently the hotel proper. Door was left open even when no one was in the pool area. It takes a room card to enter from the hallway, but with this solution anyone could enter the hotel without being noticed. Extremely unsafe. Please address both the air quality in the pool area and the door being left open to correct it. When asked ,we were told staff could only monitor the chlorine in the pool water not in the air. Unknown if this has been an issue before but it certainly was an issue on this visit. I strongly recommend that you address this health concern.

This is an average 2.5 star motel/hotel. The place has undergone some renovation but is somewhat dated but clean. The rooms have a bed or beds, writing desk, chest with older TV, a safebox, lounge char, and basic amentites- soap, shampoo, etc. The swimming pool area is very nice with a fun theme- there is a large indoor pool and jacuzzi. Internet is kind of slow but it's ok. Breakfast consists of bagels and toast with cream cheese and jelly, yogurt, scrambled eggs and some type of breakfast meat, waffles, cereals, milk, juice, coffee, and hot tea. I stayed one night only since I was atttending an event 40 minutes away. I got an excellent rate on Hotwire so I didn't mind what the hotel was lacking. Also the hotel is located close to supermarkets, the mall, and many restaurants.

My wife and I usually stay at the Lodge right across the road but have not been too happy there our last few stays so we took advantage of Hotwire's Hot Rates. This was listed as a 3 star hotel with breakfast and a pool for $57 per night, a good deal in my opinion. We stayed two nights, a Friday and Saturday. Our room had a king size bed, a couch and a desk. The bathroom was average with the sink outside of the toilet/bath area, which I like. The breakfast was decent, with make your own waffles and one hot entree each day. One day it was biscuits with gravy.....the other was eggs and I think french toast. The woman at the breakfast area kept things filled pretty well although she could have had a more pleasant attitude. It was a busy weekend so maybe we caught her a bit frazzled that day. There was a good sized pool with a jacuzzi which we did not take advantage of. Our room was cleaned daily and looked decent each time. Check-in and check-out was easy. Overall a very good stay!
