“Will not go back to Amish Country Inn!!”

We get there and get our keys, go to our room only to find it filthy and it hadn't been cleaned from the previous stay from another family! My husband goes to room phone to call down to see if we can get a clean room only to be put on hold for about 12 minutes...they never did come back on phone. So I and our two teenage kids pile all of our stuff in a hallway sitting room to wait for my husband to go down and get a different room. Then the add on hidden fees that weren't mentioned in the package price on their website. Sales tax we expected but not a shipshewana town tax or a hotel tax making our total bill go up by $30. You'd think with the package price breakfast would be included but no it's $8 for adults and $5 for older kids. We took pictures of the food containers and dirty conditions of the first room they gave us as proof. Splash Universe and Amish Country Inn is also behind on paying back property taxes by $768,000. So beware if you choose to stay with them.

“Great place to take a group”

I just took a group of 35 people to The Amish Country Inn and we had a fantastic time. The rooms, we had 11, were all clean and comfortable. We bought 10 pizzas from the snack bar and they were fantastic, they even allowed us to use a private room and bring in our own drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Taking a group of 35 people anywhere is risky, no matter how good of an experience it is you always seem to have something go wrong but not with this trip, everything was great.
I would recommend this hotel/water park to anyone planning a group event.

Front desk staff very friendly and outgoing! The only reason for my 4's is price of breakfast when usually free for what offered. Rooms were great as far as layout and cleanliness but being a kid friendly hotel I wish you could keep up on painting more.

“Not what we expected -”

First impression of our suite was "nice place".
1. Dishes in the cupboard were dirty, Coffee pot still had coffee packet in it (at least for 2 days - they did not give us any coffee the first day).
2. Windows were so dirty in sitting area. They had tilt-in windows that could be cleaned easily, but they were so dirty outside and had someone's food smudges on the inside.
3. There was no cold water to take pills - Hot water came out of the cold sinks.
We talked to 4 other people outside in the parking lot and they too were upset about it not being clean and not having cold water.
4. The $7.99 breakfast was the same as the one we got free the night before at the Hampdon Inn.
5. Also had to wait for front desk service.

Now we know and would like to tell others - there are better places than the Amish Country Inn.......

We will never stay at this hotel again. The supervisor when we checked out was VERY RUDE. When we checked in we were told the water park was closed. We booked online and was told we should have called to make our reservation and they would have told us the water park was closed.I also asked to speak to the manager when I was checking out and was told by the so called supervisor that the manager was not in yet and would not be in till about 9:00am. It was 9:45 am when we checked out. We usually make that trip twice a yr. This is NOT the hotel yo stay at.
