“Cleanest hotel I've ever seen”

I have stayed at the Van Buren a dozen times or so in the last ten years. It is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in regardless of price. I could not even find a piece of lint on the mirrors or carpet. The setting is very nice. We usually sleep with windows open all year and enjoyed hearing the "clip-clop" of horses hooves on the road outside. I highly recommend Shipshewana to anyone who enjoys a relaxing weekend of shopping. It is a great girlfriend's destination.

Room Tip: Suites are offered. They have furnace and central air conditioning similar to home, not the rattling...

This is one of the finest Hotels that I have ever stayed in--and I travel on business for 10 months a year. Absolutely immaculate rooms and amenities. The entire staff is very professional and extremely friendly. They make you feel like you're right at home. You will NOT be dissappointed!

Room Tip: Every room has a great view!

“Clean, pleasant, and convenient .”

We did a two night anniversary get-away and also visited some relatives in the area. Nearby Goshen was a nice little side trip. This former Country Inn and Suites has maintained it's high standards--something that doesn't always happen when a property goes non-franchise.

Room Tip: We had the standard king which was very good but just a bit smaller than some of the other rooms.

“Affordable luxury”

Such a beautiful, well-kept hotel! It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were all outstanding and so accommodating. The breakfast was well stocked and had many choices. It was so quiet that we expected to be the only ones at breakfast but it was almost a full house! The hotel is just so clean and so quiet, it's a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely be back.

“Super quiet & clean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

We were greeted by a cheerful front desk person and checked in quickly and told about the breakfast hours, etc. The suite was roomy, exceptionally clean and very quiet due to the great windows and very solid entry door. The bed was very comfortable and equipped with 5 nice size full pillows and extra blanket and you could adjust the room temperature to suit your personal preference. It's located on the edge of town in a quieter area but right off the main road so easy in/out. The breakfast had a good basic combination of hot/cold selections -- orange juice could've been better. The two lobby's were very inviting with nice seating and an elevator to service the 3-floors. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and you were greeted with a warm smile.
