I stayed at the Embassy Suites INDY North for 4 days on business recently. Can I tell you I have never been treated so well by anyone in food services in all my years of travel? This hotel has a restaurant and a hospitality kitchen which serves complimentary hot breakfast and a nightly manager's special. Well, as it goes in the IT world I was stuck on a conference call in the room and made it downstairs just minutes after closing. The screen was down and the kitchen already appeared to be cleaned. (BTW it's kept clean even when it is open and serving). This was the third day of my stay so I guess the Chef remembered me. I'd like to think I was getting special treatment because she appeared from nowhere as she saw me shuffling around looking for fruit or whatever I could find. I heard a voice say "have you had anything to eat"? or something to that effect. It sounded so kind, sincere and nurturing to me. I was taken aback because as you know with most places when they’re close they’re close. (doesn’t matter if it is 3-4 minutes after the hour) First, you would not see anyone anywhere and if you did they would be cleaning and closing up shop, and pretending you weren’t there. You gotta picture it, I wasn’t standing at the counter looking for someone the greet me; I was shuffling past the counter when I heard those kind words. After a few uhs an umms I said no actually I haven’t. She ask me what she could make for me…I ordered an omlette which was deliciously made with love and to perfection. (not to hard and not too mushy) Excellent! I had already seen this lady in action earlier in the week with 4-5 orders rolling on the grill at one time and she was handling every guest with the same level of attention and care. 5stars for Lassandra she runs that kitchen likes it’s her own business with love and care for each and every guest I’m sure. I will certainly be back.
