My son and I just returned from an overnight stay at the Hampton Inn Goshen after a Notre Dame football game.

This hotel is a reasonable hotel alternative for a Notre Dame football game. It took us about 35 minutes to drive from campus to the hotel. At a rate of $129 per night it beats the average $180 - $200 per night room in Elkhart (only 15 minutes closer) or the $300 per night stay in South Bend for similar accomodations. The room had a 14 day cancellation policy.

The hotel is located behind the Courtyard on US 33 on the South East side of Goshen. The hotel appears to be only a few years old. The beds were extremely comfortable and we both had an excellent night's sleep. No noise at all from the hallways or from the outside.

The air conditioning was turned off when we arrived around 11 p.m. and the room was a toasty 77 degrees. The unit quickly and efficiently cooled the room down and was not overly noisy. It came on and off the rest of our stay to keep the room comfortable.

The bathroom was very nice - other hotels should take note. Large sink with ample counter space. 6 hooks or rings to hold towels or clothes. 4 sets of towels - not super plush but not threadbare either. Standard Hampton toiletry stock.

Nice selecton for the breakfast fare. I had a couple of self made waffles and a bowl of fruit. Pineapple, Canteloupe, Honeydew, oranges and grapes.

Free wi-fi was easy to connect to and fast.

Overall this was a short, but pleasant stay. I would definitely stay here again - looking to see if I can get back in a few weeks when we might come to another game. For me I will drive the extra 15 minutes or so to save $70 or so - especially for a one night stay when I am heading home on Sunday morning.

Very enjoyable stay while visiting family in the area.

Nice size rooms that are very clean. Breakfast is very good and plentiful. Service is nice but lacks that wow factor. If you are in goshen, I'll would give it a chance.

The Hampton Inn Goshen is well maintained and the staff is friendly. The pool closed at 10 pm which is a little early in my opinion. The room was spacious.
