stayed on Aug 12 came for my son's college admission. Motel 6 is old propery.but rooms very nice and clean. staff was outstanding and very very friendly. definately stay again.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed at. The room smelled like dog. The blankets had burn holes in them. The floor was dirty. The pillows were as flat as pancakes. I asked the front desk for pillows and was told they did not have anymore pillows. I had to go buy pillows to make it thru my 2 days stay, which was 2 days too long. We returned after the first day and the bed was not made. My boyfriends camera was stolen out of his suitcase, I guess they were so busy going thru our luggage, so they could steal from us, that they did not make our bed. We complained to the front desk and they did not care. I have traveled all over the United States and this was my first and Last stay at a Motel 6. What a dirty discusting place.....I would be so embrassed to own this hotel.......Never ever stay here!!!!!

We booked our room online several months in advance as we knew we had to be in Evansville on businesses that weekend. Upon check-in, we were told that they could not honor the rate at which we had booked. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was not on property. We felt we had no choice. If we did not check-in, we would be charged anyway because they had our credit card on file and it was past the cancellation deadline. I did meet the manager (who turned out to be the new owner) after I stopped back by the office after we ate dinner. After considerable back and forth between us, he said he would honor the rate. "No problem" was the term I heard over and over again. Of course when we checked out on Sunday morning, there was a problem because he had done nothing about changing the rate. Again, he was nowhere in site. How convenient.

I called the hotel's customer service line on Monday and was told that the hotel had become a franchise hotel between the time I made the reservation and check-in and that the owner could charge whatever he liked. In the end, I received a refund of the difference of the rate I booked and the rate that was actually charged directly from corporate Motel 6.

I had the opportunity to return to this city in April 2011 and decided to stay at the Drury Inn down the street. The rate was higher but the service was awesome.

Our FIRST room...yes, first room of the night (we ended up in THREE before the night was over, if we hadn't been so tired we would've left!!) We pulled back the covers on the bed and there was PEE on the sheet (GROSS!!), they hadn't changed the sheet. The second room had a brown substance all over the wall, phone didn't work and cobwebs all over the place. The third and final room was tolerable, as we were SO FREAKING TIRED at this point!!! All three rooms had nasty looking towels, the rooms stunk, and it was just an overall awful experience. In my opinion, just because it's an economy motel, doesn't mean that it has to be disgusting!! We won't be going back!!
