Good hotel for business stay or quick stop over while travelling. Exactly what you would expect from a roadside Hampton Inn.

When I called to make a reservation with a hotel, I assumed that I was calling the hotel directly and was surprised to find that I had reached Hotels.com centralized reservations. The gentleman attempted to charge my credit card for a prepayment and then placed me on "infinite hold" when I explained that I wanted to call the hotel directly and not pay for the room in advance. You know that "infinite hold" where you hear no music, just dead air?

A word of caution: If you think you are calling the hotel directly, ask to make sure you haven't been sent to a centralized reservations office somewhere that will attempt to charge your credit card without your permission.

Overall our stay at this hotel was just so-so. The remodeled rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. Our kids really enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub (although we called it a "warm tub"). The breakfast is great. We used the waffle machine one morning and had their hot items the next.

Our biggest problem with the stay was the level of noise. One morning brought a howling dog that just wouldn't shut up. It sounded like it was right in the room with us. Another morning we had 2 maids having a very loud personal conversation for quite a long period of time right outside our room. You would think that a person in the service industry might be more considerate of that type of thing.

We left our room at 10am one day. The maid had come by before 9am and we asked her if she would be able to come back a little later but she never did return. We arrived back at the room that night to find that we needed to make a trip to the front desk in order to have clean towels for the next day.

The people at the desk here are very nice and overall the stay was good but the issues we dealt with might keep me from returning.

We have family nearby and stay at this hotel often. We were happy to see that they had done some remodeling and updating the decor. They redecorated and expanded the breakfast area. It is very nice and more room for seating. There was a long bar with plugs for technology. They also have wireless. The room was also redecorated. It looked very current. A little too much furniture in the room and although the bathroom had a new towel cubby on the wall the rest was old and worn and not as clean as it could have been. The pool area is nice and clean. We have never had a bad stay here and it is an excellent location.
