“Dog wouldn't even sleep on the floor! Stay away!”

We will never stay at another Knight's Inn after this experience and cringe whenever we see this chain now. The carpet had stains on top of stains. I was afraid to take a shower (thought I'd get more dirty). You sunk as if the floor would cave from under you in the bathroom. The bed linens appeared to have been washed maybe a month ago and smelled badly. We stayed there because of location to the track and allowing dog in the room. Our 16 pound dog whimpered and jumped up on the bed at night (even she was afraid to sleep on the floor and she never jumps up on the bed EVER)

“Great place, and great value........”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 March 2009

place was clean and price was great. All the surrounding hotels were very expensive, great value for under $50. Nice newly renovated bathrooms. I was surprised to see Granit tops in the bathroom. Would stay again and recomand to friends.

“Stay away!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2008

Room was moldy and stuffy. A/C did not work. Desk clerk said it did. We asked for another rooom, he said the hotel was full. There were not other cars in the parking lot. Two rooms were sold when we were were talking to him, and these were not reserved rooms! We called Travelocity, and they were told that they would get us another room, which they did not do. There were birds nests nests on the patio light fixtures, and there was mold on the woodwork and sink. Travelocity was not help at all.

“Not too bad for a roadside hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2006

If you are looking for cheap place to rest your head for the night then this is it.

My husband, two boys and I stayed at this hotel because it was very close to my sisters house and it was cheap. We were going on a very big vacation the end of the month and didn't want to spend a lot of money for the one night in which we needed a room near my sisters. Check in was fast and the girl was very friendly. The room we stayed in was clean but there was a hole in the carpet near the room entrance. The wall decorations, bedspreads and curtains were vintage 80's but clean. The pillows were a bit flat but my two boys didn't even notice. The bathroom had pink toilet, sink, and bathtub but it was clean and looked well kept. The TV remote was incompatible with the actual TV but we barely watched it anyway.

If you have very high expectations in a hotel and typically stay at the Marriott or Hilton then you wouldn't do well here. If you want something cheap and simply a place to sleep then this is fine. Overall the experience was fine.

“stay somewhere else”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2005

We stayed in this place while attending graduation at Beloit College in May 2005. The sheets had stains and did not look clean, you had to kneel down to use the shower because the shower head was about 4 ft above the tub bottom, the shower control was broken, the sink had chips in it, there was no clock in the room, one of the lights by the bed was broken, the phone jack was broken making the phone unusable, and the rug had stains in it. These problems were brought to management's attention. The photo on the Web site shows the back of the hotel - the front faces a busy road. On our next trip we will most certainly stay somewhere else.
