A little paint and remodeling would go a long way. But a great deal for the area, and one of the few that we could get 2 separate rooms and a kitchen for under $100. Clean, despite the age. Quiet, too.

I first stayed at CWS in 2008 and came back again last summer. As before, the place met my needs for my 3-week business trip. The property does show signs of aging but in no way compromises comfort or safety. Suites are spacious, well lit by natural light and afford sufficient privacy from other guests walking about the property.

The breakfast spread is varied and refills are quick. There are not too many restaurants around the place if you don't want to drive. Woodfield Mall is a somewhat long walk away - and therefore a good fitness routine to combine with shopping.

The hotel operates a free shuttle on weekdays except Friday evenings. On the down side - the staff does not always call out that the shuttle is leaving. I was left behind once though I had made a booking and was waiting at the reception.

Taxi services called in are quick to reach the hotel. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes from making a call for a pick-up.

Very outdated & felt dirty - needs painting; furniture is old & nicked up as well as the walls, woodwork, etc. The steps & surrounding deck were worn & had rusty hardware. The siding & light fixtures need a powerwash. The roof on a patio/grill area near the basketball court was worn & ripped off. The deadbolt lock on the door looked like it had been broken & re-attached - not too secure. Shower area small - mildew under rim of tub enclosure. The flourescent light above the bathroom sink kept flashing. The "free" breakfast was "food" - but things were empty & not stocked. The indian woman running the kitchen kept yelling at the younger help to fill the empty items. No forks or spoons - water came out instead of juice in the dispenser. The sausage patties seemed microwaved & tasteless. We ate at a nearby restaurant for meals after that 1st day - not free, but better food. There is no housekeeping on the weekend, so you have to make your own bed & pick up towels at the front desk. For a weekend shopping trip, it was tolerable, but considering the hotel choices in the surrounding area, there is definitely better value & amenites at other hotels. This hotel was not any cheaper than others. Didn't see any bugs, but would not stay here again, unless every hotel in Schaumburg was booked. I am shocked at past reviews saying that past guests were satisfied!

We rented a two bedroom room with a kitchenette for a 3-day shopping trip. This property is old, and could use some updating and general maintenance, but it's clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.

We got our room for a really, really good price. So if money is an issue and you don't want things like flat screen televisions and perfectly updated grounds this is the place for you. The paint on the exterior doors was peeling, old carpeting and furniture, but let me restate, they were clean inside and out - which is important to me. Decent breakfast in the morning and free parking/internet too. If there was a "good" rating I'd choose it because it's better than average, but "very good" is stretching it.
