This place was much better than expected. Friendly staff, clean bathroom, and nice breakfast. Great value for the money.

We won't hesitate to go back to this hotel. The only downside is there isn't any fan in the bathroom. Love the room size, microwave, and refrigerator inside the room. Also love the mattress and the pillows :)

We stayed at the Hilton from Saturday to Monday in Nov 2011 for a trip to IKEA and to visit Chicago with friends. Price was a bit high especially since our stay included the usually discounted night from Sun-M when the Hotel was almost completely empty.

Check in was friendly but I wasn't completely satisfied, as he allowed us to upgrade to the breakfast package but not to the shopping package (what is the better package -includes snacks and had the same price as the shopping package had previously)

And yes like in another review Room had a slight smell (acc to my spouse) or a very slight smell (acc to me). And here as well we found hair in the bathroom :-(
Even though we booked direct at Hilton.com the room was not especially nice (not big) and located directly at the elevators. but it was quiet (so what) and we didn't complain because of the "smell".
Pool was kind of small. We used it very late (entered shortly before 10pm) Shortly after Hotel staff walked in (what I later saw) in kinda dirty streetshoes (and used? the bathroom) - a few minutes later I had to walk through this, well after the clorine I had to take a shower in the room anyway.

I do absolutely not agree with the other review from November 2011 about the breakfast - maybe Hilton Schaumburg read it (we were there late Nov) and changed it??
However the breakfast and the service personal (esp the Lady from Argentina) was TERRIFIC (the breakfast was very very good, too (we simply good everything we could have wanted).

At the first night our son swallowed a bit to much water from the pool and was messing (throwing) up on one bed (yuk) ... we immediately did what we are able to and informed the front desk ... still the cleanup crew left a stained pillow in the room (even though we put the dirty bedlinens, pillows and the dirty towels on stacks to show they are dirty).

Funny thing is I wrote many negative things here and yes I wasn't impressed ...
but now - two weeks later I have to say that it was definitely an ok stay and I would come back (kinda sad there is no category between average and "very good"!)

We stayed here for a weekend getaway / shopping trip. The hotel is near every conceivable retail store known to man.

Since I can only shop for so long, I went back to the room, which was clean (though the smell of dirty water from the recent bathroom cleaning lingered briefly) and comfortable. Strong shower pressure but no bathtub.

The TV is HD and actually offers HD stations, which is actually unusual. All in all, a quality stay.
