Everything else was great but if you value your sleep and cannot sleep on a mushy mattress, then you might want to try another place. Our family of 4 all tossed and turned all night due to soft, worn out mattresses. It was a horrible night sleep. The only bright side was they have an awesome outdoor pool and it was great at night for our group.

Stayed here for Corvette show, not our first choice but they had rooms available so that was great. Check in went smooth after front desk agent changed our rooms to King N/S per our reservation. Very busy weekend in St. Charles and staff was friendly with fresh cookies at check in. No towels in room and were delivered hot from dryer within 30 min.s . Room very clean. Bed not very comfy. Room not dark in morning with bright sunlight streaming in around curtains. Noisy room across the hall but happily noise drowned out by loud a/c unit. Did not eat included breakfast. Did not use pool. Free parking and could see vette from window of room. Ate at Francesca's by the River for dinner, very nice and great food. Ate at The Office outside for breakfast, food okay, stick to burgers.

Overall: the front desk service was very very poor, the rooms were tolerable but nothing special, the pool was tiny, but the lobby was great. Not what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express, but it was habitable. The worst part: I'd probably recommend this place if it wasn't for the awful front desk girl. She put a sour taste in our mouths from check-in to check-out.

Pros:
-Very nice lobby
-Very polite housekeeping staff
-Extremely dog friendly, we saw at least a dozen dogs while we were there.
-Clean rooms for the most part
-Nice outdoor pool area
-Decent selection of sundries in the gift shop
-Huge king bed with nice comforter
-Both firm & soft pillows on the bed

Cons:
-The girl at the front desk seemed to be in a trance. She stared right past us as we walked into the lobby and didnt respond when I asked to check in. All of a sudden she seemed to be jolted back to reality enough to check us in. The process to way too long and she was extremely unpersonable. As a front desk agent myself, I was baffled.
-We came out later around 7:00PM to purchase sundries and the girl was sitting on the couch in the lobby watching TV, with no one at the desk.
-Our rollaway bed had a huge blood stain at the head when it was delivered. When we called to ask for a new one, we got yet another unenthusiastic response from the front desk saying "we'll see if we can find a different one" void of any apology.
-Called asking if I could get an 8am wakeup call and got an abrupt "yes" and hung up on.
-Tiny pool that was only outdoors only (no indoor pool at all)
-No in-room movies, to my knowledge
-Beds, although large, were not very comfortable

Everyone from the front dest to the cleaning crew were great at their jobs and went out of their way to make our stay a very pleasant one.
