In May of 2010 I stayed at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Rochelle. It was funky in the right ways for me as I have traveled in other Third World countries (I consider Ogle County IL to be Third World.) The staff was pleasant and funny and I liked having access to WiFi (no hassles) and a pool (though the water was warmer than I prefer.) Exercise room has a functional treadmill plus a multipurpose machine that is too complex for nonprofessional use. The motel was convenient to the places I had to be. It is head and shoulders above than the "88" next door, a run-down dump where I stayed earlier this year.

My wife and I stayed here for a week and had a great experience. The staff was wonderful. We used the pool and although the hot tub was not working it was explained that they have had several people try to fix it but the water keeps draining out. The pool was nice and heated! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was cleaned daily. We also had breakfast in the breakfast room and did not see roaches as others have reported. We are planning to stay here again in March and this time we are getting a suite for a little extra room.

Where to start? Pool chemicals caused bloody noses and rashes.No extra pillows or blankets available. air conditioner broken. roaches in breakfast room. we were in town for cheerleading competition and hotel desk clerk asked us to "pack up our #### " and leave, too much noise. we paid for a smoking room we were told "too much smokey smokey" we are in the process of trying to get our $ back thru VISA don`t know how this will panout. For your own sake when you see this dump keep on driving.

while staying at the Baymont for work myself and some other co-workers were changed to the back shift. This would had ment that we would be in our rooms sleeping when the cleaning crew started to work. The staf made changes to insure we had our rooms cleaned and the least impact on us. I thank the staf for making these changes so we can have clean rooms and still had time to sleep
