Our family of three adults and two kids booked two double-bed nonsmoking rooms well in advance.

We arrived around 8 p.m., and were given keys. One room with a no-smoking label on the door reeked of tobacco smoke. The second room was cold enough to store beef. The hotel clerk offered a spray to kill the smoke odor. She found the AC couldn't be controlled (off or cold were the choices). She seemed mystified about the smoke-filled room with the no-smoking sign on the door, because she said her computer showed it was a smoking room. We didn't mention how if that were so we had been booked into it as a nonsmoking room. All we wanted by then was out. Oh, and as we awaited her decision from a call to a supervisor (apparently off site) a third guest arrived at the desk to complain her AC didn't work at all. In our brief (half-minute) stay, we noted yesterday's towels remained in a pile in the closet of one of the rooms. The clerk directed us to the nearby Metropolis Inn, which as it turned out was a mild step up.

Oh, yes. The sign on the lobby door said all pets need to arrive through a side door, not the front door where the breakfast setup was located. The hotel clerk's dog was dancing about in that area when we arrived.

Thus, we cannot comment on our stay. We were out of there as fast as we could scoot.

The hotel is dated, but has new beds, carpet & new sheets. I stayed for one night. The morning of check out, I saw a live cockroach on my nightstand! I immediately left, and had to go through all my possessions to make sure I didn't bring any home.

This hotel was dirty. It truly needed lots of maintenance. I got the impression that they did the bare minimum to keep the hotel running just one day at a time.

I had a king bed which dipped down in the center like a bowl. The mattress was old and not cared for. The pillows were like 2" foam pads.

The bathroom had a leak and the water was pooling behind the wall.

The front entrance had a door bell which rang from 11pm-5am which made it impossible to sleep since the bell was so loud any room within 3 rooms from the front entrance could hear the chime of the doorbell all night long!

The only good news is that their highspeed internet worked great!

Will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone!

We were unsure when we booked this motel for our visit to the AQS Quilt Show because we prefer 3 [or at least 2] diamond AAA rated motels, and this was not in the AAA book. But it was a very pleasant surprise, equal to or better than many 2 and 3 diamond motels we have stayed at. This Comfort Inn is not new, but it is very nice and comfortable, clean and quiet. It is less than 10 minutes to Paducah and less than 20 minutes to the quilt show. We loved our 5 days there and definitely would stay there again when we come to the quilt show. The only downside was the breakfast room did not have enough tables and chairs, especially when the motel was full. It did have a nice pool, which we did not use. We would give it a 2 diamond rating, and upgrade it to 3 diamonds with more tables for breakfast.
