Second stay here in about 5 years. I'm current platinum elite and checked in apparently "early" at 3pm. Comment was they "luckily had a room available". Hmmm.
The room was standard (no upgrade) and as commented by others, walls and floors are thin - so be prepared. The property is isolated in an office park, so not too much traffic noise, just other guests running up hallways and doors slamming. The Glen is a nice area for a meal or drink, so that's a plus.
The 2-room suite set-up is nice, micro, 2-burner, and fridge. Free wifi was mostly ok. Disappointed that they had LCD tv's but no HD set-up, only analog signal.
Tried to get something to print in the business center - with no luck. I asked whether the front desk agent had access to a computer they could try - but answer was to try to "fix" the business center computer (took too long). Last comment: No newspapers available when I checked out. For my needs, that sums up the stay as "average".

We have been coming to this hotel for 4 yrs now with our family, All the staff seems to be the same which is very nice to see the same faces. Clearly this is w well managed hotel and we have told all of our friends.

After having a good experience with a 3 night family stay at the Staybridge several years ago, we chose to come back for a 2 night stay this year and found the quality largely unchanged. The three of us shared a 2 queen suite because the larger 2 bedroom suite was not available, but we still found it more than comfortable without feeling cramped. Hot breakfasts were provided each morning with a good range of choices including the obligatory waffle maker (but why can't any breakfast buffet include plain yogurt anymore?). Even better, on weekdays a light snack is offered in the early evening that is usually a light meal (e.g. chili dogs) or appetizer (cheese sticks) but also include green salad. If you're a light eater it can serve as dinner, but most would likely consider it appetizers. WiFi was provided and had decent speed.

The room was clean and comfortable. We had to ask for housekeeping service the first day although the info provided stated that light housekeeping (bed service, towel replacement, and trash removal) was to be provided on weekdays. The staff responded quickly to this request and was generally helpful throughout our stay.

This probably isn't an ideal location if you'll be spending most of your time touring downtown Chicago as it's a good drive from Chicago and a bit of a drive to freeways. However, if your general destination is the northern suburbs as it was for us, this is a great location and better than the other options we considered in the area. The hotel is in the middle of a large shopping area so there are plenty of surrounding services. If you looking for a good desert, I'd suggest Pinstripes just east of the hotel, but don't get scared off by the bowling alleys and bocce ball courts when you enter; there is a good restaurant there.

Great stay, quiet secure and fairly priced. Spacious room and comfortable bed.
The Fitness room is oddly placed seems like it was an afterthought an uncomfortable to use.
Overall great hotel of this type.
