We had a wonderful time in our Hillside cottage which was, I think, on the most beautiful place! We had jacuzzi, small kitchen, fireplace, beautiful bathroom, balcony, trees all around the cottage, etc. The service was awesome, Wendy and Hal are great people, very very nice. We were there for New Year's Eve and we had our 2nd anniversary. It was romantic and just perfect. Very close to retreat is Galena and Chestnut Mountain Ski Resort, with great view of the Mississippi river. Can't wait to see this place in Fall or Spring.

I can not describe you the Christmas Tree! It was magical.

This place is just the absolute chill. The proprietors are laid back and down to Earth, and everything is what a B&B should be. If you're looking for some lax, go to the hawk valley retreat.

The grounds at this B&B are beautful. The fall colors made for a gorgeous backdrop. So glad we chose to stay in the country away from the hustle & bustle of the town. The innkeepers served two wonderful breakfasts during our stay. The homemade granola was delicious and the thin rolled crepes were especially yummy. I would highly recommend this B&B for a quiet getaway and was still only short drive to Main Street.

Great B & B off the beaten path. Fabulous location. Quiet. Romantic. Full of nature. New host & hostess in April 2011 are doing a SUPERB job! Breakfasts could not have been more delicious. Homemade granola was off the charts! We loved it, recommend it and will definitely be back!
