The hotel was under construction during our stay, so the side lobby was cordoned off by plastic draping. The main lobby however, was very impressive.

The room was comfortable, but VERY small. We had a king-sized bed which allowed for what seemed like one foot of room on either side of the bed. Very tight!

I have stayed at this hotel more than any other hotel in the world. For a while it was my home away from home in chicago, before i moved there. As a diamond member its great! Great! Great! If you are a diamond member stay here. The diamond check is on the 25th floor. They are very accommodating to upgrade. For the price of a standard room i have stayed in the specialty suites sever times. these are 1000 a night normally. If they cant get me in one of those a jr suite is normally right there for me or parlor suite. The a/c is the worst thing about the room as other reviewers have claimed. besides that they are spacious with comfortable beds. If the a/c unit truly bothers you they can bring in devices to make it cooler or bring you fan. The location is great for parks grant/millenium, the museums, planetarium, soldier field. Very historic hotel, the history is very interesting to get to know. Get a good deal and stay here

$15/day charge for gym ($25/week) and no warning of fee. Water never really got hot. Otherwise hotel was fine.

This hotel is sterile, unfriendly and every time I check in here I feel like I'm in a machine. I've stayed here 3 times for conventions and almost every time here I get sick when I'm here I'm convinced their HVAC system pumps dirty air into all the rooms. The C pushes lukewarm into the room all winter and the tiny rooms are just not comfortable. Good luck printing a boarding pass in the lobby - they have some kind of crazy computer system that doesn't work. And get this, they charge you like $18 for Internet in the rooms for EACH device you use. Isn't that nice? Very hospitable. Won't stay here again. The Marriott Miracle Mile is a much nicer place.
