“Perfect and convenient!”

The room was great. Clean, comfortable, modern and full of amenities. Full kitchen with laundry and very close to restaurants and drugstore. Easy access to the L (red line) and Loyola campus. My only issue is that there is no one working at the Flats, no staff or check-in assistance. You are given your check-in info and must manage lock codes to enter the bldg and your room. This is by no means difficult, but my access code had changed so when I arrived I had to call for assistance. I was lucky and someone was actually working in the bldg. She was very prompt and courteous and got us settled in. No big deal just be prepared! I will definitely stay again. Thanks!

“A Great Place To Stay”

I spent the weekend at the Flats and it was an excellent place to stay. The apartment itself was amazing. It has everything you need. I loved how close it was to Loyola. Check in was a breeze and the covered parking lot was greatly appreciated when the snow started. I will most definitely stay there again.

I had a wonderful anniversary weekend at the Flats. I will never again stay in a hotel here in Chicago! I booked it as a surprise and also had a chef come and cook dinner ( can't do this in a hotel) for us. I will recommend this place to everyone especially guest visiting from out of town. The only addition I would make is to add something to the window in the bedroom, the sunlight is very bright in the morning especially when one isn't ready to get up. I am sold. Thanks staff at the Flats, you rock!

An excellent place great location & Beautifully furnished rooms!!!!! We stayed for 4 nights. The only negative thing was a loud party upstairs on New Years Day! We definitely want to use this place again when we have a chance!

“Great rental, few issues”

The staff has been very efficient in response times (from questions regarding reservations, keys/lock issues to noise issues). The building is located conveniently right next to the red line- making access to downtown (and other lines) easy. Getting to I-90 (highway) is a trek on Devon with lots of frequent stops due to lack of crosswalks for pedestrians wanting to run across the street- so if you're planning on going to the burbs a lot, may not be the best place for you. Having a washer/dryer was extremely helpful during our winter trip since we decided to pack light and had to wash clothes.

The bad: The wrong lockbox code was printed on our welcome packet; however, this was quickly resolved with a phone call to the hotline. The parking map was difficult to decipher but this was clarified once we entered the unit and read through the binder. Someone above us decided to throw a party on NYE- that's cool and all but by 1:30am, we decided to call for a noise complaint. I'm pretty sure that somewhere on the binder, it explains that parties are not allowed. Anyway, the representative was very accommodation and quickly dealt with the situation. They then changed the exterior building's access code for entry (great so the guests can't come back in, not so great when the husband went outside briefly to check on the car and realized he was locked out sans phone...he just went across the street to the morgan to call the hotline for help again).

The good: location- especially if you're visiting loyola (duh!), access to the lake. The furnishings were great, decorations modern (we stayed in unit 202). Our key randomly deactivated on our 4th day and it was quickly replaced. Having a kitchen made our trip more economical so didn't have to dine out for each meal. The 1 bedroom units have a sofa bed which is great for families. There's free wifi and cable- so we were able to watch some bowl games without having to find a bar for my underage brother.
