This place seems to be some sort of housing for a student medical school review course. All I saw in the place was students, and those I talked to said that it was mandatory for them to stay there even though there was less expensive housing in the area. These students are being charged close to $700.00 a month for a single room with no kitchen or living room. They just have a small box fridge and a hot plate or a microwave. I find it sad that these medical school students are being forced to stay here, while the undergrad students from Southern Ill University are able to get their own places and at 2-3 times less the cost per month. I also find it a bit shady that even though the place is listed as having a pool, sauna and weight room, that they have no such facilities. I also find it a bit shady that they are listing themselves as a motel/inn when they are not even close to being either one, and in fact have not operated as a hotel from what I gathered for several years. I am actually surprised that no one has thought to look into this shady business that is being run, by presumably the same man who runs the school that makes its students stay here. I also Gathered from a couple of students that, they could stay out in their own housing, but that only if they paid the Inn $2,600.00 to $2,800.00 for a room in the Inn, even though they would not be staying at the hotel and utilizing the room. So, now they are paying rent for a room in the Inn that they are not using and paying rent to live outside of the Inn on their own. This can't be legal at all. Any way, After these findings I did the obvious and found another place to stay that was not so shady.
