The Inn at Ellsworth Estate is the place to stay in Hailey. Nice property, well appointed rooms, great breakfasts, and a friendly innkeeper.
We had the James MacDonald room, which slept the 4 of us comfortably. While there is only 1 bed they put a full size inflatable mattress in the room for the kids. It took up the majority of the sitting room but still didn't make the place feel crowded.
Steve, the innkeeper, is great to work with. When we called to tell him that we'd be late checking in (10 pm) he made it clear that was no problem, posted a note on the door with his number and was there to greet us within 2 minutes of our arrival. He never made us feel like we were putting him out by arriving late.
Breakfast is a treat - 3 courses each morning plus all the coffee and juice you can drink. The first course was always fruit. We had an egg dish as a second (eggs with smoked trout was the highlight), then a bread course - cornmeal french toast, baked oatmeal (yum!) and buttermilk pancakes. They serve breakfast at 8 or 9, but typically run a few minutes late to no need to hustle downstairs.
The location is fine - it's across the highway from the airport, but you don't really notice any noise (there was a large forest fire in the area and a lot of traffic in and out of the airport but still not enough to keep you awake). Saturday night one of the nearby houses was having a party which was loud, but they got quiet early enough for us to get a good night sleep.
Since I'm back to being a frequent visitor to Hailey I will be sure to stay here again.
