The bathroom was filthy; the room smelled bad; the hotel was a $30.00 cab ride away from any decent food.There were 8 of us, the hotel have no airport shuttles, no seaport shuttles. We had to take two $30 cabs for everything. I will never leave from tampa on a cruise again;

This must be the crappiest hotel I have ever stayed at. First off, it's in the bad area of Tampa, but close to my job. There were people peddling for money at the gas station just next door. Stayed here only because it was the cheapest chain hotel I could find. I got my money's worth. The pool was under repair, the room was painted in a horrible mustard yellow, the key card need to be reprogrammed every other day, the sink was clogged, the room smell damp, TV reception was sporadic at best, and there were small roaches all around. Don't stay there. It's Bate's Motel.

I stayed with a colleague at a conference to save a dime here. Hotel was not great, but I have stayed at worse. Main issue was the bill, I tried several times to get our bill divided up for business reimbursement so I could have my own receipt. Included multiple calls after the trip, was told that the computer that had the info was being reworked, and he coud not get to the reservation- bull. I have worked with people in tough situations before, actually pride myself on dealing with such situations, but this was unworkable. Finally after 5 minutes I point blank asked "So you are saying there is nothing you are going to do for me here" and he said "that's right- I don't have to do anything for you" I was nice the whole time, and he did not curse me out, but by far was still the worst manager I have ever had to deal with of any business ever.

I stayed at this motel after flying across the country and arriving in the late evening with my rental car. It was clear to me when I walked through the door that the room was a smoking one, and when I complained at the front desk, they basically said "too bad, you booked through Hotwire, and we don't have another room." Exhausted, I returned to the room, clearly noting suspicious activity in the parking lot. I slept on the smoky sheets, and was awakened at 4 in the morning, when the people in the next room started talking loudly. The walls are paper thin. When I got to my destination, I had to wash my clothing to rid it of the smoky smell. This hotel should be rated one star, if that. I even called Hotwire to complain.
