We recently stayed at this hidden gem for the first time, and enjoyed Tracey's hospitality. Despite having been in the area a number of times, we had never noticed this quaint B&B tucked in amongst the regular residential homes. In fact, even when looking for it we missed it the first time and had to turn around to get to it.
Tracey greeted us warmly upon arrival, offering us sherry, tea, coffee, and snacks. We were checked in and in the Essex Room in no time at all.
The room wasn't huge, but was big enough for the two of us. There's not much I can add that hasn't already been said by others--the bed was comfortable and the shower unique (see my pictures). Despite the room fact that the room faced the street, we were never disturbed by the sounds of traffic. We slept soundly in quiet all night.
Breakfast was simple fare: coffee, muffins, toast, cereal, and such. The muffins were quite tasty, although this was the first B&B I've stayed at that didn't have a cooked breakfast.
The best compliment I can give when reviewing lodging is to say that I'd stay again, and I can definitely say that about The Little English Guesthouse.
