Seeing my daughter at FSU was the highlight of my trip. The low point was that I needed to return back to my prepaid room at this property. Since it was parents weekend at the school, there were no other feasible accomodations available elsewhere. The marquee outside proudly states that the hotel is "Under new management" but I found so many deficiencies as to make this glaring statement laudable. I must say that the young front desk staff were very kind. The hallways and rooms were dirty and had not been vacummed in some time as evidenced by the variety of scraps on the floor. I agree with another reviewer who stated that this property should be condemed as there are serious problems. There are no ground fault plugs adjacent to the sink and the plug box that was there was broken and would not hold the plug properly. The water supply to the sink was backwards so hot was right- cold left. The window that I opened to get some fresh air was like a guillottine -not able to stay up on its own. I could go on and on but I think this is fair enough warning.

Last minute football weekend trips sometimes include desperation moves. In desperation, we drove up despite reviews. The sign outside said Vacancy and Welcome. The outside was pretty run down and deserted looking. Very few cars. The lobby was not horrible so I asked the lady if we could view a room. She said yes, but we'd have to come back in an hour and a half. I mentioned that we were in a rush and would probably look elsewhere. Her response was , "OK". She could not have cared less whether she sold a room or not. Then we drove around back as we exited. It was deserted, overgrown, dirty, rooms open to the elements via missing air conditioners, it certainly looked like a homeless hangout. Even though we did not stay there and cannot comment on room condition or anything else, I would suggest to you that you don't want to get this desperate.

The location is awesome....like a mile from fsu. The hotel wasn't a mariott, but it was decent for the price. They even had little cereals and snack bars in the morning. It looks like they were re-doing a lot of stuff because my room had a lot of new stuff. Everyone was super nice. I was sold. It's a fantastic place to stay if you're on a budget or want to be close to the colleges and downtown.

Not worth it. Dirty stained carpet. Looked un-vacuumed.
