Older property but being upgraded. Reasonable rates. Staff was very friendly.

I saw a lot of people give this hotel a 5 star rating, but I didn't see that!! I don't know if these 5 star ratings are from people who hardly ever travel, because I do travel a lot and can't see a 5 star rating. The place was clean but in need of some repairs. There is a safe in the night stand between the 2 dbl beds and it was wide open and there was no way to keep it closed. I even called the front desk and they couldn't do anything about it. SO if you got out of bed at night you would have had to hit this open door and probably hurt yourself, so I took the chair and put it there to keep the door closed. Then the top of the night stand was disgustingly dirty/ruined on top..it needs to be resurfaced. I wouldn't put anything on top of it, it was so bad! The beds were relatively comfortable. I had requested a room on the poolside and was given one on the parking lot...I wasn't happy about that! I doubt that I would stay there again!

We stumbled upon the Stuart Inn Hotel in Stuart, Florida on a whim, after deciding to venture across the state to see the ocean. Upon arrival we were greeted by Ginna, who was more than helpful in assisting us with not only check-in, but also directions, and ammenties which we forgot, given the nature of our spur of the moment trip. The room was outstanding, clean, well stocked and in an overall pristine state. The lobby, pool and surrounding areas were also exemplary. The continental breakfast was above par, even when compared to much larger chain hotels. All in all, if you are ever in the area and looking for a nice room, friendly staff and an outstanding price, make this your first stop.

We were in the area for a wedding in Hobe Sound,Fla. and decided to stay here.Did not know what to expect since it wasn't a brand name but was also surprised at the quality of the room and the staff was excellent.The mattress was better than mine at home and I slept really well.The pool was also great.Very clean and well managed
