“Old Fashioned Florida at its Best!”

Sunken Gardens is a beautiful botanical garden that was a popular tourist attraction in the past and is still going strong today. It is the perfect balance to all the theme parks that seem to dominate Florida today. We spent about 1.5 hours walking around, enjoying the gardens. It is a really peaceful, beautiful spot that we really enjoyed. So if you want to take a break from roller coasters and spend an hour or two looking at really beautiful plants, this is the place to go.

“Worth a visit”

We toured the Sunken Gardens while on a recent trip to St. Petersburg. The Gardens were all that I expected them to be. They provided a quiet, peaceful spot in the middle of a large busy city. The gardens were neat, well kept, very interesting and informative. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area.

“Walk through old Florida”

A walk through the Gardens is a Walk through the feeling of old Florida. Peaceful, tropical... feel the stress drip off as you stroll!

“nice green space”

The sunken gardens was a nice place to escape the heat and the sun. There are lovely trails and we even saw them setting up for a wedding. It was very beautiful.

when walking around this place you have to remember this started as one man's hobby out of control. Very beautiful. Don't forget to get a bag of fish food.
