We just needed a quick overnighter in our motor home on our way back up north on Thanksgiving weekend. Beach front was desired and was easily achieved. Our site was a good size for 35' with two slides. Easy beach access. Site had a lovely raised (up several steps-not sure how elderly or handicap would make it) and covered picnic table area from which you could see just over the dunes to the ocean. That's about the only good part about this place. $74.80 later....internet was slooooow, showers were cooooold. Tried and failed at shuffleboard as the lights weren't on and the sweet office gal declared that she didn't know how to turn lights on and the maintenance man was out of town. It was only 6pm on holiday weekend. Tennis courts nets were mangled. The pool isn't heated. So forget swimming. Lack of amenities and lack of abilities of management to problem solve will have us staying elsewhere next time. Real disappointment for the money. Wouldn't complain if it'd only been $35. But thought you all should know before you go there with any expectations other than close beach access.

My wife and I have camped here many times over the past ten years. We bring our dog camping, and the beach is dog friendly, as long as they are kept on leash and the owners clean up after them. This is one reason that we like to stay at Bryn Mawr when we camp in northern Florida. We prefer the first row of sites nearest the beach, or one or two rows in. The campground is well maintained and the restrooms and showers are clean too. There are, however, lots of park model trailers, as many have mentioned in these reviews. Some are in better condition than others, but none are, from the outside at least, in disrepair. As far as the interiors go, I could not speak to that either. Many people have said that they like the pool. We have never tried that either, preferring to spend our days at the beach. We just returned from a three day stay yesterday, and found that many of the decks in the sites near the beach have been remodeled. It is a little pricey, but staying anywhere in Florida this close to the beach usually is. They have installed new gates to the beach that require a combination to open from the outside. These actually seem to work, as opposed to the old ones that stayed open most of the time. We have always had a great time at Bryn Mawr.

Actually stayed in 2004 .Personnel were helpful and friendly...we had 2 adjoining campsites with the showers and bathrooms straight across from us ..easy access. Spent an enjoyable week there with 2 other family member couples. Enjoyed both the beach and the large pool and talking with other friendly campers..found price suitable...Security guard was friendly and chatted briefly with us nightly as he made his rounds.Considering visiting again when we have the opportunity. Having a code for the beach front gate keeps out undesirables and adds to ones feeling of security.Our stay was quite enjoyable.

Been coming here since 1991 - a year after I was born. Family has come here since before that. It's one of a kind, nevermind some of the other reviews.
Great beach. Big pool. Excellent atmosphere. Restaurants and town with shops and theaters are right nearby. Suitable for all-purpose trips at any time of year.
