Our stay at San Remo condo #504 was an excellent experience. The condo is decorated witha beach theme and was extremely clean. It was fully stocked when we arrived including chip clips, storage bags,paper towels, beach towels/chairs,laundry soap, etc. The linens were new and included plenty of sheets, quilts,towels, pillows, etc. I've never stayed in a condo so well equiped. The owner called the first day and welcomed us to his condo, left a bottle of wine, and thank you note along with chocolates and my favorite Werther's candy.
The pool is right on the beach and has a large shaded area which was great. The balony was very large and had comfortable furniture. I have stayed at San Remo in the past and found the hallway carpeting replaced with tile which looks great. The spa is down from repairs this time but summers in Florida don't require a spa. The building has a very firendly atmosphere and it's a lot of fun. The location is excellent with Clearwater to the north and St Pete to the south. I would recommend condo 504 to anyone coming to this area. It's an amazing place for couples and families to spend time.

When we arrived at the condo, the spa was shut down. We inquired about this, and was told that the "BOARD" decided it was too expensive to operate the spa / jacuzzi.
Also, the "heated pool" was not always "heated". It was more often during our stay that it was NOT heated.

We had the privelage to trave to San Remo for our 1st anniversary vacation and stayed in 203. I have to say that it was better than ever; this condo had everything that we needed to have a wonderful time. The condo was very clean and up to date, had a room of goodies that included, chairs, toys and beach supplies to enjoy your stay. I would recommend this condo for anyone that wants to have a relaxing time.

Spent entire month of March in Room 502. The best part of it is the location pretty well on an excellent part of the beach. But the floors were dirty, carpets needed replacement years ago (yes, there is duct tape holding the MBR carpet together). Pots in kitchen were beaten up and rusty and burners on stove were falling down into stove. Bed linens thin and felt dirty, and all drapes are in shabby condition. Pillows on bed were soiled and in real need of replacement. Patio chairs were rusted and wheels had fallen off long ago.
And then there is the game of chance they refer to as an elevator. It was broken five times during the month, and even over a Sunday and Monday while they had to get parts. On the day we left, I was so concerned with the elevator and getting luggage down that I loaded up the car at 7 am. And then we hung around until 10 am checkout, and the elevator was broken again by then. Five floors up and down is nothing to be sneezed at.
We got a very decent price on this unit considering the location, but even then I would not stay here again. It was just too dirty and outdated.
The bird sanctuary next door would be a real stinker for people on that side of the building. Even on our side there was enough birdpoop that it was the first rental car that I had to run through a carwash before returning it.
