My wife and I were just passing through Perry and needed a place for the night. Didn't want to spend a lot, but I guess you get what you pay for! I also wanted to get reward points by staying at a Days Inn. The place is very old, as are most of the motels along this stretch of road. (One exception is the Hampton Inn next door, but even the AARP rate was well over $100.) This Days Inn shows its age (built in 50s or 60s?). It is a bit scungy. (My wife just told me to call it a dive.) The fridge didn't work. The handle was broken off the patio door. The remote was temperamental. The sheets didn't quite cover the mattress. There were burn holes in one sheet. And I had to call the desk at 4 a.m. to get them to ask the guy next door to turn down his TV. As other reviewers said, the walls must be thin. Other than that, it was quiet, and the breakfast wasn't bad. Overall, I know I won't get my wife to stay there again. As a recent reviewer said, it could be worse. If you can afford it, however, stay elsewhere.
