“Nice getaway”

My wife and I stayed at Purple Parrot in late August 2011. We stayed in BAHAMA MAMA 18CD. The room was awesome. Very nice and clean. I chose this room away from the pool to avoid the loud music based on previous reviews. the music was sorta loud but no a big deal me once we arrived. the pool was nice but not as big as the pic made it look. The grounds were very nice and well cared for. We never ventured to the tiki bar much mostly because we had our own stuff at the room. one drawback i didnt like was the fact that the pool is open to the public. Your not allowed to bring your own drinks to the pool. This wasnt really a big deal to us since the rooms are close to the pool anyway. The property is not directly on the beach. Maybe a half mile away. The beach had plenty of public parking that was free. We loved the beach since it so built up like Myrtle Beach. There is no maid staff onsite so you will have to wash the towels yourself. The one main problem was the fact there was not supplied with much. You will need to bring laundry soap, extra toilet paper, stuff like that. We new this before arriving so it wasnt a big deal to us.

All in all, this was a great place to stay and relax. We will absolutely be coming back. Keep in mind that you need to bring a few things and you will enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: Pick a room away from the pool if you might be bothered by music from the tiki bar.

“Great Fun, Can not wait to go back”

We stayed at Purple Parrot over Jan. 1, 2011 for a few days.Got there on New Yr Eve, and was invited to a party at the Tikii Bar. Food was good and 2 bands, 4pm-1am. No though traffic with gated entrance. No Maid service to wake you up,if you sleep late. Loved that part. Everyone was helpful and friendly, both guests and staff. It is not on beach, it is in the forest and quiet, and only about 5-10 min walk to beach. Bunglaloo was like new. Wish we had stayed longer. Next time we will stay longer.

Room Tip: Look at the map, for planning your bungaloo. Some do not have paking at bungaloo.

“Great accommdation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

This resort is great, the accommodation was clean and comfortable, the pool was good particularly for those with families. The tiki bar was friendly with live music, although I didn't try the food.
