While there is nothing special or unique about this hotel, it is quite nice for what it is. It's just a simple hotel that's been well maintained and kept clean. There were some small stains in both the bathroom and pretty much every rug, but they appeared to be much more related to the age of the hotel and not its cleanliness. The room was fairly large and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was the usual waffles, cereal, fruits, and scrambled eggs. I would stay here again.
The room was very clean with the execption of the stained couch. The room was nice, well lit and bug free. It is located close to the interstate but far enough away to not hear the noise. The young guy that checked us in was very friendly. He had some issues checking us in but made up for it with his helpfulness. As we carried in our luggage he held the door for us and even when my hands were not full he still opened the door for me. The older gentleman who came in later that not was not helpful. I called up becuase I was having trouble with the internet. He told me that I would have to come up and get a cord. It was late at night but I walked up there and got the cord. Even with my computer plugged into their wall and stuck to the desk I could not access their internet. When I called up again he told me that some people just can't use the internet there and he didn't know why. (We stayed at the hotel next door the night before and had no problems so it was not my computer.) He did offer to try to help if I brought the labtop back down to the lobby. (shouldn't he of had me bring that the first time then he if couldn't figure it out give me the cord so I wouldn't have to make 2 trips up there?) In the morning I still could not get on the internet. There was a charge added to our bill for using the in room safe that we did not use nor were told about. The lady who checked us out offered to take the charge off and did so promptly.
Comfort Inn on Pine Forest is in a nice, safe location near many area attractions. The continental breakfast is the quality you would expect when staying at a Comfort Inn. The room was clean and the daily maid service was fine. However, it sounded like kids or somebody was running up and down the upstairs halls all night. this distraction made for a very restless, sleepless night. Front desk stated they were not aware of any of this and had not received any other complaints. I checked in for a 2 night weekend stay but the front desk clerk made my door key expire after the first night so needless to say I had to stop by the front desk to get it rekeyed. True, this is a minor hassle but it speaks to the lack of attention to detail by the hotel front desk staff.
We stayed her for a soccer tournament and we were impressed with the cleanliness and accommodations. There was a mini fridge, microwave and sofa bed in our king room. Rates were very impressive and we would definitely stay here again.
