“Lela White Rentals # 700 ROCKS!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2010

We stayed in condo #700 - 2 Bedroom / 2 bath. It was located right off the elevator with beach views from both bedrooms and living areas. The condo was VERY nice, lots of provisions, and clean. The management was extremely nice and friendly. We loved the outdoor and indoor pool for the kids when it rained, at night, or just to get out of the sun. It was so easy to work with the owner (Lela). She even gave us some tips for local dining. We will return in a heartbeat.

“Very Disappointed in Room #804 and Resortquest”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 May 2010

I would first like to state that our review is not negative toward the Perdido Sun building/staff.....however, the owner of the room and the management by Resortquest have many issues and room for improvment for future customers.

My husband and I stayed in room #804. What a disappointment!!! The room was filthy, far below par from our expectations. We phoned to tell resort quest that we would be checking in late due to car trouble..they we very friendly and the ease of check-in after hours was great!
Now the issues. The room was filthy. Needless to say, we spend a lot of time cleaning before we could enjoy our room and vacation. One closet had a bag of dirty towels and linen thrown in it along with the ONLY blankets in the room wadded up and thrown in the closet also. There were NO rugs throughout condo, just white tile flooring...we later found the 2 area rugs rolled up in broom closet.

I could go on with a list of issues, but the next morning I asked the front desk for assistance and the VERY NICE lady informed me that they (perdido sun) did not manage that room and to call resort quest, which I did and the woman was very apologetic on the phone and told me that a local manager would be calling me immediately to fix this situation. Never heard from them the entire day.
The next morning, I received a message from resort quest (which was located next door) so instead of calling back, we paid them a visit. Very friendly, immediately contacted housekeeping to provide fresh linens throughout (including comforter set) and remove the dirty items. We were told that it was a quick "turn around" in the room and the housekeeper did not have enough time to clean the rugs, so they were stuck in the closet. What quick turn around? I checked on-line the day before coming and the room was available the weekend prior to our monday arrival, PLUS, the staff also knew that we would be checking LATE and that would have given them plenty of time to clean....I mean the dust on the fake plants in the master bed/bathroom was 1/2 inch thick....

Resort quest dropped the ball, after I gave them a long list of issues and all we got in return were two free dvd rentals and a apology....no discount on price for this trip or a possible future trip...just the dvd rentals!!! We will definately NOT be duing business ANYWHERE with resort quest in the future.....and probably not staying at the Perdido Sun either....

“Comfortable and Convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2010

I have stayed here three times, and I have had a good experience every time. The front desk is friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and well stocked and the condo was very spacious. I love that every condo has a balcony that faces the beach. The last time it rained for the whole trip, so we spent the entire trip on the balcony and in the indoor pool. Very affordable considering that it is right on the beach!

“Perfect family beach destination”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2009

We spent our annual beach vacation here once again this year for the third year running and think the Perdido Sun is the perfect family beach getaway.

We grew up on the beaches of Florida so I am familiar with the high end resorts, the raucous party destinations, and the community beaches. IMO, this place bests them all for families.

The indoor pool is a great incentive for anyone traveling in early spring when temperatures can vary wildly. The outdoor pool and hot tub are also a nice feature. But the white sand beaches are the ultimate draw for us. We can sit in our beach chairs, watching our kids play with their "vacation friends" and relax. There's plenty to do, body boarding, skim boarding, beach volley ball, tanning, fishing, or even just taking a nice walk down the beach.

The place is very well maintained. Staff were cleaning the pools and hot tubs daily. Something as minor as the light on the "Lobby" button on one of the elevators being out got immediately serviced. The lobby floor stays clean despite the traffic in and out to the beach all day.

If you have kids, make sure you go crabbing at night. Get a flashlight and a hand net and join the others on the beach, combing for a sand crab. The kids love the chase. (See the picture above).

I could go on and on, but we would definitely recommend Perdido Sun to our friends!

“Very nice!”

Just got back from the Perdido Sun. Stayed in Condo 400, which is a 2 bdrm, 2 bath with an Ocean and Pool view. It was nicely decorated, and very clean. Rarely seen anyone in the lobby, but the parking lot was full. Will definitely be back to this condo. It was great. There is a man that works in the lobby till like 6pm, then he is gone. You have to have a code to get in and out of the bldg. We went to the Winn Dixie just down the road, stocked up on some groceries, cooked breakfast and dinner a few nights. The only little complaint I have, but not even that bad, was the hot water heater is small and one person can take a shower and when you are about to finish, it starts getting a little cool, BUT with the small hot water heater, it fills up extremely fast and in about 5 min, the water is good to go again.
The pools are fabulous too! Not to mention the beautiful sand and beach. Ready to go again!

  • Liked — The beach view/access
  • Disliked — Hot water heater small for 2 bdrm that sleeps 6
