“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2010

We stayed here between 6th and 20th August with our 22 year old son and his friend of the same age. As we were 4 adults we felt it was important to have plenty of space to chill and relax at the end of the day and we were not dissapointed. We had a 3 bedroom appartment and were extremely happy with the size and cleanliness of it .We were in block 5 on the 10th floor and had a great view of the fireworks on the odd occasion when we were in around 9.30 - 10pm. We used Frankie Farrells Bar on several occasions,it was handy to call in after a hectic day for a cold beer or a bite to eat (huge portions so starters were often enough!) As you would expect it was a bit pricey being the only bar/restaurant within the complex but it was convienient. The on site store was also expensive but again convienient to get a few essentials when we first arrived or ran short of something.Wallmart is just 5 minutes drive for everything else you could need. The'Pirate' pool was mainly used by familys with younger children as would be expected, we found the smaller pool between blocks 1 & 2 better for us (quieter) but did try the main pool a couple of times early in the day and was able to have a swim & read the paper before it got busy. If anything could be improved I would say a larger freeform swimming pool would be a great additon to the complex. We did have a car for our stay and really don't hink we could have done without it, we visited all the Disney Parks, Universal Studios, I.O.A, Seaworld , Busch Gardens and did an Airboat tour, plus went out most evenings either to Downtown Disney or City Walk, none of these were too far with a car,I doubt we could have done so much using the transportion system. However one night we got a taxi to Downtown Disney costing around 15 dollars, and had no problem getting one back later. The staff in the reception were always pleasant and helpful, but if you take travellers cheques they only have limited cash to exchange them, you can just use the cheques as cash in the shops but need to have ID with you. (By the way there was safe in the master bedroom free of charge & great for keeping all your vauables safe) The outlet shops right next door were handy to do some shopping, and there was a nice coffee and cake shop, but our son & his friend preferred the main outlet stores on International drive.Like most other reviewers I really can't fault this place for it's location and for the size and comfort of the appartment inparticular. We booked through Virgin Holidays and got a few extras like a daily paper, some discount vouchers and a free takeaway Pizza, which was fine, but we do have a major gripe with Virgin Holidays who changed our return flight home to an earlier one without informing us at all, it was only when checking in at Downtown Disney that we found out we were on the earlier flight and although luckily we were still in time for that flight, this ruined our plans for our last day. Apparently it had happened to a family the day before,so be wary if you have booked through Virgin Holidays.

“Fantastic Place To Stay - A+++!”

This place is absolutely brilliant. The location is perfect - close enough to Disney to enjoy the magic, far enough away to escape when necessary. It's a 5min drive to the gate of WDW. You DO need a car; the free shuttle is extremely limited and only drops off/picks up in Epcot. But on the the SR536 (the road the hotel sits on), there are shops galore, a fab dining/shopping area called Crossroads with a dozen restaurants (our family fave was Sweet Tomatoes). And with a hop onto the I4, you can be at at the prestige Outlet Mall or the Mall At Millenia in under 30mins. Plus The outlet mall attached to the hotel is very good - we had a field day in Old Navy!

The suite is huge - we are a family of five and we had more than enough space for two weeks in a two-bed suite. The place was immaculately clean, the staff were helpful, the pools were delightful. The loaction was sublime. The small shop on-site was pricey, but with a nearby Walmart and a supermarket in the Crossroads area, we stocked up on all we needed. A tip - try and book via Owners Direct, and save a few £££'s!

“Perfect Accomodations and Location!”

I am originally from Orlando but have lived out of state over 16 years and don't often stay at hotels when visiting Orlando. Friends of ours that have never been to FL wanted to do the whole Disney/Seaworld experience so we were a party of 4 adults with 3 children (9, 10 and 13). The LBV Resort Village and Spa is an absolutely excellent property since it offers spacious apartments with all the ammenities of home. We were in building 5 facing the pirate pool in a 3 bedroom/2 bath. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very well equiped and the unit was very clean. The location can't be beat since it is so close to both Disney and Seaworld. The kids loved the pirate pool and the bar at the pool was nice. The hot tubs were very nice and clean next to the pool. Washer and dryer in the unit was great for drying swim suits and washing beach towels we brought and used in the parks and at the pool. They provided basic stuff like trash bags, dishwasher detergent and toilet paper but we bought other stuff and ate several meals in the apt. Highly recommend this hotel and you can't beat the price!

We usually stay in this apartment rooms when visiting Orlando. It has excellent location and the rooms are well equipped with everything you may need. And is next to the Outlets.

“Great Space, Luxury and Location.”

Stayed here between 6th and 20th August 2010 in 2x two bedroomed apartments (my family with teenaged daughters and brother's family with young children). Found it easily (on the SR535 right off the I4) and after checking in to apartment 5909 and 5910 (Building 5, ninth floor) found them to be REALLY spacious, clean and well equipped. All the Disney Parks are within a 10 minute drive, and the on-site Frankie Farrells pub is handy - ate there 3 times during our stay. The on-site shop is VERY expensive, though Walmart only 5 minute drive away. Only (small) criticisms are - small (Pirate) pool is always busy, and whilst OK for kids is not big or deep enough to actually swim in; the room phone cost us $43 for a short call to the UK, and most annoyingly - no non-stick frying pan in the kitchen, also no real bargains to be had from the on-site Shopping Mall...............Other that that - SPOT ON!
