I recently stayed at the Econo Lodge in Orlando, Florida and I must admit that I was very disappointed. To start with when I booked the room, the gentleman, (Jesse) that I spoke with had told me that this was a nice hotel, according to the pictures that are posted on the internet, it didn't look too bad. The pictures were very deceiving to say the least. I must have driven by the hotel at least six times before I called the 800# to see where it was. It didn't look like the picture that I had seen on the internet. I didn't even receive the travel itinery to let me know anything. At least I had the confirmation number. I did give Jesse my email address, but found out later that it wasn't even recorded anywhere.
I checked out of the room promptly at 6:30a.m. I didn't sleep well that night, it was very noisy and I didn't feel safe. Not to mention that the room smelled very musty, the carpeting on th floors were very stained, the bathroom, specifically the shower was very dirty. And to top it off, there was a dead roach in the lobby. I talked with a very nice young man the day that I checked out and told him had happened, he was very sympathetic and seemed like he really was sorry for what had happened. He gave me the General Managers' name (Scott Renken), and his business card that was copied onto typing paper and had been cut out, apparently he was out of regular business cards. To say the least, I thought that was very unprofessional. It looked very cheap. Scott did call and left me a message to call the 800# if I had concerns and to get a refund. He never made any attempt to apologize for the inconveniece either. I am a professional and travel quite often for my job, but I would not want to stay at the Econo Lodge again.
Thank You for your time and allowing me to comment on this sight.
