The family (me, wife & two kids 21 & 18) arrived Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We were asked at the desk if we wanted an "upper or lower floor." I requested and upper floor facing the pond out back and got a room on the 16th floor of tower B overlooking the pond with Universal Studios and other attractions in distance. Nice! Contrary to previous reviews, the staff was friendly & helpful. The room was very clean and well appointed. No sign of rodents as in a previous review. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils which worked out nicely as we ordered a pre-made Thanksgiving dinner at Publix Supermarket and served it up after a day at Universal.
We were there for four nights and were overall pleased with the experience. If I have to be hyper critical I would gripe that the shower door in the master bedroom leaked and allowed water onto the floor. The large pool area only had sun for a short time throughout the day this time of year and where it was a bit chilly with a steady wind, we passed on swimming. As stated before, the employees were nice enough except for a young man who identified himself as a manager. He was rather condescending and made it abundantly clear that they are there to serve the owneres of this time share, not the guests. He must have been the spoiled son of the developer who's picture appears rather ubiquitously in the lobby as he hobknobs with the hollywood elite.
Again, this was a pretty good place to stay and I would recommend it. Would I go back? Maybe. There are a lot of choices in the immediate area that piqued our interest. If I didn't go back, it wouldn't be because I disliked it. It would be more out of curiosity for the other offerings nearby.
By the way, the Harry Potter ride at Universal was the best amusement park ride I've ever been on and the Al Capone's Dinner and Show in Kissimmee is a must. Merry Christmas!!!! rhl01
