“Loved the spacious rooms and the pools - family friendly yet relaxing for those travelling without children”

I was there with my 3 kids, 2 of my sisters and 2 nieces. This hotel was like a home to us, we had a 2 bedroom suite, with 2 very spacious rooms, huge living room and fully equipped kitchen. Everything is like you see in the hotel photos or better. The swimming pools are beautiful, and there is plenty of room for the kids to play. Location was great to go to the parks.
Free parking right outside our room building. Once you check in and get your room key, you are very independent and don't really feel like staying in a hotel. Home away from home / vacation rental experience.

“Above my expectations! Kid Friendly!”

My wife and I stayed here with our two kids for 5 days to just get away. The hotel and the staff are wonderful. Our kids age 3 and 5 loved the pools here on property. They have a staff here that you can leave your kids with. They absolutely loved it. I want to thank Staci for taking such great care of our kids, they had a ball. She had a fun spirit and our kids had a new best friend before they left. Thank you Marriott Harbour Lake!

“Nice facilities, but recession has hit this property”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We stayed at this facility about 3 years ago. We revisited this property in January, 2012. The pools and rooms are still in good shape. Not so many activities were available for kids. Staff at front desk are not as helpful as they were in the past. If you have a Pirate Sundae cup, your kids will no longer get free refills. Instead your kid may opt to trade it in for one free Sundae.

Activities staff are still very kid friendly. Not as many activities are available each day for young kids.

Some of the staff at the front desk do not speak English very well and don't know how to answer basic questions.

“Wonderful pools with good location.”

This is a good location to reach all the parks. It is located very near Sea World and is an easy drive with close interstate access to the other parks. We stayed in the 2 bed 2 bath with 3 adults and 2 children. The condo has PLENTY of room, a large common area and has a nice sized patio. One bedroom has a king the other two full sized beds and a pullout bed in sofa. The unit was very clean with a few minor flaws from wear and tear. (chipped paint on bath faucet, drawers that didn't pull even) but nothing major. The unit includes a washer/dryer and a couple of starter boxes of detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap and bath amenities. If you are traveling with children they are going to LOVE the pool area. A pirate ship with mini slides for small kids and a larger slide for the big kids. There is also a water fort that is great fun. The water was heated. There are some good sized hot tub too for the adults. The grounds are very well kept and there were activities if you were interested. The staff was friendly and helpful with any request we had. My only complaint was there was no mini store on site to get that forgotten gallon milk or loaf bread without having to leave the resort. There is a grocery a couple of miles away. Overall this is great resort for families and I would highly recommend it.

“I'm here right now and I don't want to be, but I'm trapped.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I'm here, right now, in room 2937. It's a musty room in the inner corner of a building that management claims is recently renovated. Individual parts of this place, taken in isolation, are fine. Pool is nice for the kids, the grounds are well maintained and the amenities are par. But combine all variables I am considering and I want out, this second, or something better. You see, I can't leave. I'm using an exchange from Interval. So, I thought, while I'm trapped I'd share my angst. First, there isn't an angle of this building and my room that is well kept. From chips in floors and walls, to the bathroom, I am appalled. Second, right now, while I'm napping, I'm listening to the maintenance and cleaning crew slam every g-foresaken door and yell across the grounds - again. But, do they even clean? Who knows? The blanet on my queen bed and our towels were stained, red. What happened? I can only assume it was an escape attempt. The staff tell's me they can do nothing for me because of my exchange, so they did nothing. So, in summary, combine inept management, with an uncleaned, poorly maintained, loud as heck building with a cost exceeding 200+ a night if you pay rack makes me laugh. Can't wait to get out of 2937. Also, they want me to buy a vacation and timeshare. Get real.
