“LOVE THIS PLACE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

It's a very nice hotel right next to the Water Park and Universal Studios. The staff is REALLY nice and friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. I've had far worse stays at more expensive hotels and if you're traveling in this area, do check out this place. There's no resort fees or any other hidden fees and they even have free cookies/coffee in the lobby. They also have a small fitness center and free full continental breakfast. (if you have kids, you'll love this feature) WiFi is surprisingly VERY FAST and reliable. Bed was very comfortable, sheets were immaculately clean, and bathroom was spotless. Some rooms (furniture) do show signs of wear and rust but not enough to ruin your stay.

Only drawback- It can get a bit loud at night on the weekends and they still have the old CRT TV.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 5th floor if you don't want to get stuck with partygoers on the floor a...

“Bingo! Very nice Hotel, and in an EXCELLENT Location.”

My Wife and I stayed at this Hotel for three Nights in January 2012, on our visit to the Orlando area. Upon our arrival, we were very, very pleased with the Location of the Hotel and the pleasant grounds and surroundings.
The rooms were very clean, the two-queen bed option was the best choice, the beds were very comfortable. We liked everything about this hotel, the staff was very accomodating, there was a Gift Shop, and a Tour Booking Desk in the Lobby, where we were able to purchase our Universal Studios tickets, at a good price. There was a free shuttle bus avalilable to Universal Studios, but we chose to drive instead.
Having visited the Orlando area many times in the past, I always find it convienient to stay in the International Drive, Sand Lake Road area, because it is easy access to everything. This Hotel was Located just a couple blocks behind International Drive, and was very easy to get in and out of, avoiding the Busy Intersections.
The Complimentary breakfast in the morning was very nice. There were not an overwhelming amount of choices, but just enough so that everyone would find something they liked. . My wife especially enjoyed the "Make your own Waffles" machine.
We found this Hotel to be very convienitnt to the Outlet Malls in the area. We especially liked the Orlando Premium Outlets about 5 miles to the South.( Vineland Ave). We also had a very good experience with the food at Tony Romos BBQ Restaurant a couple of miles down International Drive.
We wont be visiting Orlando again for a couple of years, but I will definitely make this Hotel my choice from now on!

Room Tip: The two-queen bed option hav very comfortable beds.

“Great experience for a Budget hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

I have stayed in budget hotels and five star hotels and this hotel had many more amenities than many more luxury establishments. Orlando is usually a great deal on hotels however this surpassed my expectations. For $50 dollars a night, I had a room that had a living room with a sofa bed, refrigerator, and microwave and a separate bedroom that was extremely comfortable. There were two tvs in the room and free wi-fi was included. There were toiletries offered if anything was left at home.

The hotel offered a free shuttle service to parks although I only used it for Universal. You should get down to the shuttle at least 15 minutes in advance because they fill up quickly. I never could find the shuttle coming back to the hotel. It was not parked where it was supposed to be, also it often left earlier that I wanted (around 6:30p) so I decided to stay later to enjoy Universal nightlife.

Another plus was the breakfast offerings. There was quite a selection of hot and cold foods, including but not limited to waffles, pancakes, biscuits, sausage, interesting looking chicken patties, hot and cold cereal, bagels, french toast, doughnuts, coffee, juice, and tea.

There was a lending library and one computer for use in the lobby (slow connection). A ticket agent was on site but I purchased tickets online for less. Within walking distance were restaurants, liquor store, and shopping area. The hotel is near a I-ride trolley stop and one way to Universal was around an $11 cab ride.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It was perfect for our group of three. We used it as a place to lay our head, store or drinks, and for closeness to Wet n Wild and Universal.

“Nice Hotel, Good Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

I have always found this grade of hotels to be much the same, where ever you go in America.
As always there are always two double beds, complimentary high-speed Internet access, an in-room coffee maker, iron & ironing board, cable TV. So I have never been too fussy when booking hotels in this part of Florida.

Upon arrival at the hotel I was quite impressed with the layout, in reception there was a feature wooden staircase which broke up the area.

When I booked the hotel I requested a top floor and non-smoking room if possible. We checked in to our room and were given a room on the second floor. I would have preferred to have been higher up but appreciated that this might not have been possible.

When we arrived at the room, it was pretty standard and next to the elevator. Within a few moments someone had called the lift and you could hear the droning of elevator in action
The lift was so loud that if it was used in the night, I’m sure it would wake me up.

I returned to reception and spoke with Joey, stating that I when I booked I asked to be accommodated on one of the top floors and also I would like a room away from the lifts. I was advised that because I had booked a standard room the ones left available were all in close proximity to the lift.

Joey paused for a moment and said “I know what I will do” with the he walked off into the manager’s office. He came back a minute or so later and informed me that he had upgraded my room to a suite.

The new room was on a better floor, was larger than the room we previously had been given. We had a lounge area, which also had a fridge, microwave and a separate TV.

The accommodation it’s self was clean; there was daily maid service who changed the towels every day and the bed every other day.

The hotel provided a complimentary continental breakfast which was ok, but I found the choice quite limited which resulted in having the same thing for breakfast every day.

The hotel is situated in a good location, just a few minutes drive from Universal and within walking distance of Wet and Wild.

I would stay in this hotel again. Considering that we had a free upgrade and the money that we had paid for the room, this was extremely good value for money.
