I stayed at the Hampton Inn for a week and, in general, it was a pleasant period. The rooms are clean and the hotel is located on a quiet and peaceful area. Disney and Universal are at fairly close distance. The breakfast is not great, but good enough for anyone who's just looking for a good snack before going out for fun. There are also a lot of places to have dinner nearby and the Orlando Premium Outlet is very close. They do not have safes in the rooms.
The only problem I had was regarding the payment at the check out. They are not prepared to work with Visa Travel Money (VTM). In fact, it seems they do not know the existence of such a card, which works like a debit card for international travels. In my case, when I arrived to check in, they charged my debit card a value above of that I was supposed to pay at time of check out. At the end of my stay, they wanted to use my debit card again, like a credit card. I explained to them that the payment had already been completed and I showed them the extract of my bank account, which included the payment of the hotel. I explained that they had also charged me more than the correct value, and I would like to receive the excess amount back. They said they would investigate the situation and send me an email. That was two weeks ago and I have not received any contact since then. I will send them another email to get my money back. Anyway, here s a tip: do not use Visa Travel Money at check in. They do not know how to handle this type of card.

First of all allow me to thank you for leaving such an objective review of your stay, despite the issue you encountered at checkout. I’m glad you enjoyed our quiet location, convenient proximity to the area theme parks, shopping and dining areas as well as our complimentary breakfast.
I would like to apologize for the issue you had with the use of your Visa Travel Money (VTM) at checkout. Despite our broad experience in accommodating international travelers, we do come across unfamiliar bank card types from time to time. This would be a good opportunity for us to research more on the nature and use of various card types, especially those from other countries.
If there are any inconsistencies with your billing, I would be more than happy to personally resolve any shortcomings from our establishment. Please feel free to contact me directly.
