While touring Florida on our motorcycles we entered Ocala from US 27 and found a great hotel with excellent service. I knew the moment we where greeted at the front desk we made a good choice. We had 3 rooms and all were clean and loaded with all you need. I really liked the nice size refrigerator. The location is a bit difficult to get in and out but that was a plus for bikers, no searchers hanging out on the property. I would go out of my way to stay there again. After a long day of driving I really enjoyed the jacuzzi. I would like to thank the entire staff of Golden Palms for making my stay very pleasant. I intend to come back everytime I come to Ocala.

We found the Golden Palms Inn while visiting my son and neice at UF. No decent rooms to be found in Gainesville, so we headed south on I-75 hoping to stay near by. This hotel was right off of 75 at exit 354, and could not have been more convenient for us. We enjoyed two nights in a lovely room that was clean and quiet. The rooms and grounds seem to have been newly refurbished. The staff was pleasant and the rates were better than what we found in Gainesville. I will definately remember this hotel for my next visit.

We stayed at this dumpy hotel last Friday, the beginning of Spring Break. Upon our arrival, there was a wait since all the hotels were sold out. We were charged $150 to stay in an outdated hotel room. The door had paint that was chipping off. There were old cabinets above the sink. A hot plate was mounted on the counter next to the sink. There were feces/blood stains on the wall. The floor tiles were chipped and broken. The air conditioner/heater was missing its front cover. As a result of these contiditions, my husband and I did not sleep a wink. We would have slept better in our car at a rest area compared to what we experienced at this crappy hotel.
