If you have the right attitude, this is the place for you. It is "old Florida", unspoiled with a rich tropical and historic tradition. The building we were in was the original Post Office. There is info and old pictures at the library (next street over). The room was perfect and we would love to have coffee every morning on the screen porch for the rest of our lives if it were possible.

The property is directly on the beach. The beach and sound of the surf was close enough for us and we gathered many a shell. Laundry is free even though there are coin machines (just ignore them). They have all the "soap" etc. you need in the cabinets above.

It's close to (walking distance) to some of the best restaurants and the only "store" on the island (ironically named "Island Store"). Some of the restaurants among these (Green Flash, Bubble Room, KeyLime Bistro, Mucky Duck and others).

We loved our stay, the staff was great and Captiva has not changed since my last visit in 1992 when I came through there on my boat. Their laws prevent the onslaught of high-rise condos which ruined Panama City Beach.

We are elderly so the pace was perfect for us. We would go back in a heartbeat. I would love to write about Captiva Island but the review for Jensen's is not the right place. Captiva is special and I lived in the Keys for a year (still love the Keys).

This place was amazing. My husband and I stayed in the PO Box for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The room was comfortable and the bedding was nice. The bathroom was spacious and the room had lots of space. It has a mini fridge and microwave which was perfect for our stay. The staff was so accomodating. The beach is right there and they have really nice chairs, umbrella's, and boogie boards for guests to use. We will definitely be staying there again. It was really quiet and relaxing there is not a lot going on around the island but that was perfect for us. We have reccomended it to many of our friends! Thank you Jensen's for everything.

My husband and I first went to Jensens when we first started dating...we loved it so much we have been back many times since. We got engaged in Captiva because we loved it so so much. Jensens just gives you that welcome to island...make yourself at home feel. If they ever had a room open...they would upgrade us to a larger cottage for free. They are super flexible with check in and check out times. They also have a GREAT location...you can walk everywhere while not being right in the middle of everything. This is a great couples, family, or fishermen spot! Thats what we love...its perfect for everyone! Dont go if you expect something fancy...its not...its just that perfect beach cottage getaway!

We needed a last minute room and Jensen's was able to accommodate us. We stayed in the PO Box room and it was the most beautiful, relaxing room that I have ever seen. It had all of the necessary amenities...refrigerator, microwave, TV, dishes, fluffy towels, beach chairs, etc. The room was decorated in a Waverly pattern with wonderful windows and a screened in porch. My husband and I wished that we could have stayed longer then just the one night but we will definitely be returning.
