“If you like dirty unmaintained places this is the one for you.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2009

We stayed there for a week. Being that the other hotels in the area had no rooms for the timely stay we had we had to stay at this hotel. When i booked this room it said it had a hottub. When we got there it was brokedown and looked like it had been that way for months. There was BLACKMOLD in my in-laws room that was just awful and smelled really bad and they were in a handicap room. The beds were like bricks and the ac worked when it wanted to. The lady at the frint desk was rude everytime we went to the office for something. I feel sorry for the poor housekeepers. They tried to keep the rooms cleaned and they did the best they could with what they had to work with. They had stained towels and wash clothes. We went to a local store and bought our own. The rooms are small.

“Okay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2008

The staff at this hotel could not have been any better. We had a loud air conditioner and when the repairman could not fix it we were up graded to a better room. The rooms were clean, the bed was very comfortable. The only thing I found odd was at breakfast you were not allowed to take food back to your room.

“great value for the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2008

After reading reviews on here had a little trepidation about staying here. Stayed one night and came back and stayed three nights. Found it a great value for the money. Yes, the rooms were older but clean. Very quiet and very helpful staff. Will stay again if in the area.

“Not a good start to a vacation”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 April 2008

After a long 17 hour drive to New Port Richey, we arrived to what appeared to be a very nice looking hotel. We checked into our room and immediately turned on the a/c to cool things off. Well after the a/c running for 4 hrs straight blowing warm air, we contacted the front desk to report this problem. They were very prompt with sending up a "maintenance" tech to check things out. Well despite the a/c blowing out warm air, the tech pulled off the cover, briefly looked at it and stated there is nothing wrong. It was obvious there was something wrong with the unit...

Aside from the a/c issue, the room could have been cleaner. The bathroom floor had hair all over it and the floor was spotty. There are no refridgerators in the rooms which was somewhat of an inconvienence. We stayed a total of 4 hours at this hotel which was suppose to be a 4 night stay. We found a much nicer hotel a few miles away which was more accomodating.

  • Liked — convienence to shopping
  • Disliked — cleanliness, service of staff

“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2007

I went with my husband on a business trip and we stayed here Monday Sept 3-Sunday Sept 9th. During the week I was the only one sitting by the pool. The pool could have used a full cleaning, but the water was fully chlorinated. I did not try the hot tub/jucuzzi as the temperature outside was already in the 90's. There is a computer you can use in the lobby. The breakfast was pretty plain, bagel, donuts, waffles and cereal. Several times I made the coffee....
There is no place you can walk to from there so I sat there all day. Boring.
My room was cleaned daily, at least the bed was made. Several time I had to go behind the maid and clean the counter tops or bathroom floor.
We had a king size bed with a kitchenette and there was not even a fork or knife in the drawers. The coffee maker also did not have any supplies with it. I found that to be strange!
Early one morning I saw someone sleeping in the chairs by the pools with many plastic bags. She was there for several hours. I also read in the paper about a 'sting' operation that mentioned this hotel. But I never felt unsafe and it was quiet.
I do not think we would stay again, specially as there is a newer Quality Inn Suites a mile down the road.
