Recently we traveled to the Odessa area for a shooting competition at the local gun club. We made the reservations over the phone and we asked for no-smoking on the ground floor and also on the side the Church was on.

We arrived a little late after dinner on the Sponge Docks and checked in. To my great suprise all of my requests were granted. Even the gal at the desk commented that I had gotten what I asked for.

The room was a standard room with two double beds, small bathroom and everything was in working order. We always carry a kick bar when staying in a room that opens onto a sidewalk.

The bed was fine and the furniture in the room showed some wear and probably needed to be replaced due to soil/stains etc..

The wireless access worked the first couple of nights and the last two nights of my stay I went without and then sat in the hall outside of the dining area like I was in time-out the last night. The desk said that they had tried to fix it and when I left it still wasn't working.

There is no free breakfast but they do have a restaurant in the building. Thank goodness for a Cracker Barrel across the street.

One good way to tell if a room has been smoked in is to check the towels. Normally all the extra towels in the rack aren't replaced and they normally leave a straggler.

All in all it was a pleasant stay and we rested well. One interesting event and it involved a very young lady and a very old gentleman. They checked in next to us that evening and in the course of the evening the older fellow left. That morning when we checked out a young man her age was with her. I sort of felt like this was a no-tell Motel at that point.

This isn't the first time we have stayed at this location and it won't be the last unless something better comes along.

My wife and i stayed at this hotel to surprise our daughter for her 40th birthday.We were unsure what to expect as we had read reviews from previous travellers.We found the lobby and reception to be very good .The bedroom was clean and tidy and the bathroom had been re-tiled and re-painted but the bedroom furniture was out-dated and needs to be re-placed,The meals in the restaurant and the bar were good and the service in both were excellent but the entrance too both smelled musty.The pool area and the pools were reasonable but needed cleaning more often and three tiles were missing off the wall of the middle pool.Whilst we were there, the hotel was taken over and we are sure that the new management who were very polite and friendly will bring this hotel up to the standard required.

I'm currently staying in a dog friendly room and if it wasn't already 2am when I arrived after driving from NJ I would not be here. Major complaints-the air is barely working, the man sleeping in his van outside my room, the 2 roaches dead on the carpet, the overwhelming mildew smell, the shower which is dirty and feels like sharp pins, yellowed, stained towels, filthy carpet, filthy exterior, grungy bed linens, cigarette burns in a non-smoking room bed sheets.
The interior lobby was nice and the man at the front desk was friendly but I will be complaining in the morning and finding another place to spend my week. I'm a single female travelling with a small dog and I must say this is the worst place I've ever stayed. I try to stick with quality inns, comfort inns and clarions but this really gives the company a bad rep. Ugh gross!

It was my girlfreinds birthday and I decided on this hotel because of its pool. The large jacuzzi was wonder and my girlfriend took many pictures in it and around the beautiful landscaping. The front desk clerk Rachna was very friendly and helpful. We slept like babies and if it wasnt for work and our kids at home we would have stayed a week. We will be back for sure.
