For such a pricy hotel in such a prime location, Hotel Victor should make more of an effort. It's a beautiful lobby, lovely bar, nice outdoor space, great pool--everything you could want in a South Beach hotel. But the service at every stage left us frustrated and unlikely to return. No concierge in sight, front desk staff who had a lot more attitude than information about things like restaurant recommendations. Unbelievably slow service in the restaurant. Mixed up parking records, which meant a 25 minute wait for our car after we checked out. Incorrect reservation records, which left one of our party locked out of his room for half a day. When we complained, we again got a lot of attitude from the staff at the front desk.
The bartender was the one exception--he went out of his way to find the liqueur we were looking for, and was very professional.
Rooms are tiny, as others have said.
