Hello, I feel responsabile because I choose this hotel and for that reason I´m writing this review. I booked this hotel, based on the excellent reviews for my entire family. I have my Apt near to the hotel so I didn´t use the facilities. My family, a group of 15 arrived a week ago and stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is beautiful, and the rate was very good (includes wifi, amenities and parking). The area is walkable but a car is mandatory. Why I said this hotel is not for families ? first of all they don´t have connecting rooms, so the families that booked 2 rooms because they have little kids (Ages 6,5 & 4) had a hard time trying to figure how they should split. The second thing and most annoying, is that the bathroom has no door, and the shower is made of cristal glass, so nobody can pass nearby while you are in the shower, very very uncomfortable situation.
This hotel suits for couples.
The rooms are big and very nice, the view over Biscayne bay is great and the restaurant is very good. The fitness center is well-equipped, the pool area is ok.

Close to downtown Miami, harbor side and close to the highway to Miami Beach. We strolled in downtown during a saturday afternoon. The free railway to go through downtown Miami is on the back of the hotel. So very central. Price is a bit high, but such a big nice room in downtown Miami is very good. It was a pity that we missed a match of Miami Heat, they were playing the evening we stayed in the hotel. We booked bed and breakfast and we loved it. The restaurant was hip with good food. The pool was build in the building, on a terras. Because of winter (low sun) it was most of the day in the shadow. The valet parking was easy, but expensive. The room was spacious, good bed, may be a litlle to soft. To much blankets for such a climate, so we were warm. The bathroom is amazing. We were in the bathtub, having a view on teh harbor. That was fun!

The hotel is located in downtown Miami and there is not really anything around the hotel. It might be good for a business traveller but as we were on vacation we regret that we did not book something on South Beach. We paid 240 dollars of night (including all taxes) - excluding breakfast - and found it quite expensive for what we got, but too be honest we don't have so much to compare with in Miami (as it is our first visit) and maybe Miami is just that pricy.
The room were nice and the hotel have a nice fitness center and a nice pool (which however are in the shade most of the day due to the buildings around the hotel).
Breakfast was nice but very expensive and it was not even a buffet - and the problem is that you need to walk 10-15min to get to the harbour area where you can get breakfast if you don't want it in the hotel.

My experience at the Tempo was pure heaven...this boutique hotel is a hidden treasure. Me and a friend went in December for a long weekend for some R&R and we were not disappointed. The restuarant in the hotel was great, they need to advertise more because the resturant was very empty. The bed was so comfotable it was like sleeping on a cloud!

The location is a few blocks from the port of Miami and Bayside, a shopper's dream with lots of places to eat there. We got upgraded to a jr. suite and the room was spectacular...I had a spa treatment while staying at the Tempo and Gabriel took care of all the tension in my neck and shoulders. Danielle and Addie at the front desk made our stay more pleasurable. Overall the people working there couldn't be more accommodating.

I definately would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to go to Miami for a long weekend getaway. It's 10-15mins from the Miami airport and it's more relaxing than South Beach. Don't get me wrong I like South Beach, but I rather stay where it's not all the action, I get enough of that in New York City where I live, sometimes I like the peace and quiet.
