“Reunion Resort provided a terrific experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

My company had a conference for 80 people at the resort. Everything went perfect. The meeting space, food, and rooms were ideal. I can't say enough about the customer service. This was the best that we have experienced in all of our conferences. There was not one thing that led to disappointment. Strongly recommend using Eleven for any group dinners. The view of the resort from the rooftop was exceptional.

A few of us also played golf during the trip. We played all three courses on the resort. They were all great. The Nicklaus course is a little tougher than I prefer. Be prepared to play out of sand.

I look forward to visiting this resort in the future.

“Don't stay at 7451 Gathering Court "The Sunshine House"”

Reunion Resort is lovely, however my family's experience at the hands of the Reunion Agents managing this villa and the Villa Owners themselves has been very very bad. The villa itself is nice and when considered in isolation more than meets the advertised specification of those anticipating a luxury villa vacation experience. This was exactly what my family was anticipating … and exactly what we did NOT get. The empty lot next door, referred to in other reviews on VRBO, is no longer empty as of 15th October 2011. During my vacation it was taken up by a team of 10-15 builders who proceeded to construct a villa for all the daylight hours of Tuesday through Saturday of our week long stay. The wall of the new villa next door was being built literally 6 yards from the edge of the poolside. As such, it was not possible to use the pool, or to sit or eat outside PERIOD. So why the poor rating? BECAUSE BOTH THE OWNER AND THE HANDLING AGENT IN FLORIDA KNEW ABOUT THE IMMINENT BUILDING WORK, well before my family’s arrival. And did they call me or the booking agent in London … NO THEY DID NOT! They did nothing except take my full fee clearly worried that I would ask for an alternative or a refund prior to departure if I was in any way in the know about the construction. And since my return I have spent weeks swapping email, sending photographs, asking for an apology but to no avail. I have been consistently stonewalled …. and now I have been left with little choice but to explore my legal options. The difficulty I am having is my family’s trip of a lifetime was ruined by let’s face it, the stereo-typical ‘Holiday-from-Hell’ scenario of builders next door. No remorse, and no comeback from the people I paid cash to for this experience, and no matter what comes back in reply to this review, if indeed they care, they cannot deny that they knew about the IMMINENT BUILDING WORK NEXT DOOR AND DID NOTHING and happily sat back, cash in bank, to leave my family’s vacation to fall way short of expectation. So if this review is not sufficient for you to look elsewhere in Reunion, then I would be sure to ask for updated photos of the villa given the new building 6 yards away, before hitting the ‘book it’ button and subjecting your family to naive faith in human nature, sadly the way I subjected mine. I should have posted this review earlier for all you prospective Reunion travelers, but I felt I wanted to give the owners the right of reply and the opportunity to right wrongs privately. They neglected to take this up.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. While we are very sorry for the experiences you describe in detail, this unit is not part of Reunion Resort's inventory and we have no control over its rental, nor are affiliated with its owner.

We feel obliged to point this out in our response, and if you do choose to visit Orlando again, we hope you will consider staying through the resort.

Sincerely,

“Beautiful Location and Great Resort”

This was my 2nd visit to Reunion Resort and it was as memorable as the first. Reunion is conveniently located near Disney, but yet comfortably removed from the usual chaos of Orlando. The rooms are spacious with great layouts, especially for families. The grounds are attractive and the amenities are great. This resort is certainly worth a look!

I was at the property for a meeting, Their was also a "welcome party" at one of the estate home and it was also very nice. I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it was very nice. The golf courses were beautiful and very challenging.

“Should of been great, far from it.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Booked 5 Bedroom, 4.5 bath Superior home for 5 days between December 26, 2011 and December 31, 2011. Here is a list of just some of the problems we encountered:
1) Lost use of 1 whole bed and bath (entire trip) because the air in the guest house was not working. We were told they finally got the air working on the 3rd day (unconfirmed as it got cooler outside), but due to the mold smell the bed/bath was unusable. Requests to change linens in guest house were ignored.
2) No workable keys till day 3. Yes, computer systems go down, but this was ridiculous. Even after the systems came back up, Security accused us of returning the wrong set of keys when we got locked out for the 4th time. Come to find out, the actual card reader on the front door was not working and had to be replaced. The attitude we got from Security because we kept repeatedly calling to get into the unit was laughable, as we were at zero fault and we were the ones being inconvenienced by having no keys.
3) Ice Maker broken/Refrigerator not cooling properly. This was found out after $400 of groceries was purchased.
4) Dishwasher broken. We found a screw that was preventing water from filling and had to fix ourselves.
5) Dirty floors and dingy carpet. Roaches on the floor with a 15 month old exploring is just gross. Even after demanding that the unit be cleaned, we could hardly tell a difference. When a unit remains uninhabited for long periods of time, thorough cleaning needs to be done, especially when such a premium is being charged.
6) No curtains in upstairs bathroom window. We were already short one bath, so having an open window from about 4.5 feet up facing the neighbors was not good.
7) Paid for pool heat. Called day before to ensure it was turned on. Pool heat broken and off when arrived. Pool not cleaned in who knows how long, green algae on all inner surfaces. Pool heat was fixed on day 3. When you rent a home with a pool, you expect to be able to use it.

Now we were comp’ed one night due to our issues. Good yes, but I would rather have had the extra space that we paid for.
We also were offered to transfer to another smaller unit. Good yes, as it was cleaner (no way to know if everything would have been in working order) but after unpacking and buying groceries, moving to a new house at 10:00 pm the night before going to Disney just wasn't going to happen. We shouldn't have been expected to have less room just to have a well maintained unit.

This is an awesome resort in terms of amenities. We had a great time golfing. We liked the overall feel, but our housing just wasn't up to par. This is our 5th Disney Rental (and not the last with a 15 month old), was the most costly, and yet these were the worst accommodations so far.

Cannot confirm this, but staff told us it is better to stay in the Villas than the homes, as the Villas have more turn over than the houses.

Room Tip: Cannot confirm this, but staff told us it is better to stay in the Villas than the homes, as the Vil...
