“good location and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2010

i stayed in the sea club resort for a vacation with 2 of my friends for a week.
we all really enjoyed our stay.
the hotel has the best location, its right on the beach and very close to downtown and to the hard rock hotel which we could find amazing clubs bars and resturants.
it is also close to shopping centres.
the staff was really helpful as i didnt know the area they helped me find my way and advised me well. they were really nice and patient to answer every question i had and gave me really good service.
the rooms are clean and comfortable. i was surprised to see the staff changed the linenes and towels every day. the pool was also very clean and nice.
i will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who want good place to stay in fort lauderdale cause i was really satisfied with everything.
i feel its a very good value.

“Horrible! Do not Stay! Bedbugs”

My first night of an intended 3 night stay here was on the 5th floor. The ceiling was crumbling in some areas and the bathroom and sink would not drain properly. I decided to change rooms the next morning to the 2nd floor...bad idea! While watching TV, I saw a bed bug in the bed next to me. I immediately killed it, packed my stuff and took it to the front desk. The two staff were acting surprised that I found one. I made sure to take a picture of it b4 I left. I asked to check out and get a refund. They checked me out but refused to give me a refund. I asked for the manager, who off course was not there, but was advised by the staff to call back the next day for Mr. Ronen Parhi. Having bed bugs is a health issue....nasty!!! I would not stay here ever again!
Advice...if you are on a budget, stick to $90 plus per night. it just might be a tad safer with less stress.

“Wonderful staff, great location, wish I was still there!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

Was at the Sea Club for 10 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff from the Manager , front desk, waiters and waitress, maintenance were all just great. Sandra, at the front desk was terriffic. So efficient, professional, and kind. The rooms are very clean, the location is on the beach... and the price is terriffic. The deck restaurant has excellent food and a fair price. Try the Sea Club, you wont be sorry...... Jackie from Pittsburgh....

Took my bf here for his birthday WHAT A DISASTER!!! Should have looked at reviews first!! the first room we went into was missing all floor boards the room was painted 6 diff shades of yellow, as if they ran out of one color... the sealing was COVERED in dust, the "maids" had left a filthy rag and two cups on the night stand, the whole hotel smells extremely old and musty, the bedding was old and STAINED along with the carpet, we went back to the front desk and complained, would not give us any money back but suggested a different room which we decided to take rather then losing out on our 100.00, went to 2nd room which actually had one color of paint and floor boards but floors and bedding was still stained and bathroom paint in bathtub was peeling, the closet had brown stuff splattered all over it, the mini fridge was nasty and all iced over, the chair was stained all 5 channels on tv were fuzzy and not worth calling cable i opened one of the soaps and it had brown mold looking stuff on it, the towels didnt smell freshly cleaned, the floor in the bathroom had dirt on it, toilet was leaking, neither my bf or i wanted to take a shower in the nasty bathroom or take our shoes/ socks off, we slept ontop of the comforter with the pillows still under it. the "continental" breakfast consisted of coffee OR orange juice OR a bagel OR toast... this place was absolutely disgusting and the only reason they are still in business is because of suckers like us! the only plus was that it was across the street from the beach other then that this place is FILTHY and DISGUSTING and should be shut down. Anyone that rated this place good either works there or owns the place, is a friend, relative etc.. Dont waste your money here!! Also... the fire alarm went off about 4 times from around 9 to 11 which was EXTREMELY loud and annoying

This couple stayed in the Sea Club in rainy days, no one wants to be in rainy days on the Beach, so all those stories that have no legs are all as a result of the Front Desk refusing to give a refund! it is true that we don't have a "Rain Check" policy, for us rain is act of God, and we don't give refund because of rain!
As for the allegations I must say that the Sea Club Resort is the only Budget Hotel on Fort-Lauderdale Beach that has the policy of changing the Linens & the Towels every single day of the year, we are known for our cleaness and up-keep of our hotel.
Should this couple chose to contact me, I could have given them some considerations, but not when they chose to write those things above.

“Budget on the beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2010

Good value - definitely a budget property that could do with a lick of paint but lovely staff and nice extras like free beach chairs/towels. My only gripe was the fact that an 18% gratuity was automatically added to the food bill and then a space left on the credit card slip for a tip!! The free luxury breakfast comprises a bagel/toast and coffee - not what I call luxury and the free cocktail was a beer or local spirit drink - again hardly luxury.
