I was appalled by the condition of our room on this visit. The bedding was filthy and had obviously not been changed prior to our checking in. To specify, there were visible pubic hairs, dirt and grime, and bodily fluid stains. It was absolutely disgusting. We went to the front desk to complain, and the clerk barely paid us any attention. He handed us clean bedding, and we then proceeded to our room where WE had to change our own sheets! I didn't pay $150 to have dirty sheets, and have to make my own bed! Not to mention the front desk clerk NEVER once apologized for the state of the room.

Never stayed in Sleep Inn before, will never stay in one again. Stayed in one in Wilimington off highway, nothing special about the area, typical highway exit with number of motels. Sleep Inn was expensive, room was small. The bed was supposed to be a queen, had to be a double, very small. No closet in the room, very small piece of furniture to put hanging clothes Inn. No tub, just very small shower stall.

Should have gone to the Day's inn across the street, but thought would try out Sleep in. Never again

We were pleased with our stay in Destin. The hotel is directly across the road from the huge outlet mall, and several good restaurants nearby, but not as near the beach for families with children. The price is wonderful for this older, well maintained hotel, and the staff was very accomodating. There is a good place to walk our small dog, making it a great choice for retirees. Internet in the lobby, and better than usual continental breakfast. Lynn, the manager, treats you like family, and the housekeeper loved our dog. Nice, clean pool.

I found that there wasn't many pet friendly hotels in Destin, but this place was great! One time flat fee of $25 even though we had 2 large dogs. Had a large area for the dogs to run around off leash. Very close to beach access and restaurants and shops. Bed was comfy, pillows nice, very clean. Would return to this hotel, and recommend it for anyone going on vacation with a budget and still wanting to be close to the gulf.
