I write this on my last night of a 3 night stay at this hotel. While the room itself is spacious and comfortable, I am bleary eyed having been up since 2:00 am (its 4 now) due to the party on the floor above. The walls of this hotel are so poorly constructed that you can hear whole conversations and every noise from the rooms next door, in the hall and apparently the floor above. The desk clerk was so nice & has gone up personally to ask them to be a bit quieter but they totally ignore him. So I will drive 6 hours home tomorrow with no sleep and I am miserable. My husband and I were surprised the first night we stayed at how easily you could hear people talking in the hall way and in their rooms next door. If you stay at this hotel, insist on the corner room on the top floor - that may be the only way you get any sleep here. Or bring a room fan to create some white noise. I travel for my job and in 15 years I have never stayed at a hotel that is so conducive to noise from other rooms. Whoever built it must have put paper between the plywood. The room is a nice room (although the bathroom could have used a good cleaning and mold/mildew removal) and the lobby area is beautful and the staff friendly. It is a convenient location for those visiting the speedway and is close to the airport if you fly in.

Halifax Hospital visits, Race fans, Getaways? The staff at this hotel could not have been more accomodating!!!! A special * THANKS * to Bill at the front desk for your kindness and compassion. You are a true asset to the Marriott Chain. My visit was last minute due to a family medical emergency. From check- in to check -out the service was flawless. Although I was not in my room much, everything about it was perfect. In the 1br king suite was everything you would need and more including a full kitchen and all of the necessites. The complimentary breakfest and all day coffee in the lobby is also a big plus. Look no further to feel at home and the beach is such a short drive!

Looking for the most convenient location to stay when you want to be close to the Speedway for events? This location is within easy walking distance, exceptionally clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed hot breakfasts every day before venturing out to the car show or beach. Every staff member was more than accomadating to address our needs and any questions. They clearly like their jobs. They even provided Thanksgiving dinner with all the trmmings for those guests without plans for dinner. Rooms are spacious, well stocked, comfortable beds and newer decor. Overall very pleasant experience. The single drawback...a room by the pool, as it can get quite loud in the evenings if other guests are taking advantage og the grill area adjacent to the pool and workout center.
Would definitely stay here again
