This place was not good at all!!! It looked okay until I stepped foot in the room. The carpets had stuff all in them. I stepped on something & hurt my foot within the first few minutes we were there. I turned down the sheets & all of the white sheets had yellow stains all over. The shower had black chunks floating in my water, and there was tape in the bottom of the tub. I kept feeling like something was crawling on me as I laid in bed. Just not a good experience at all!!! So disgusting!!! Keep driving if you can & find something else. I should have slept in my car that night!!!

We stayed in the Days Inn for 3 nights in January. There is a large screen TV in the Breakfast room and the Continental breakfast was average but kept us going for the morning. There is a convenience store across the street. Evans Buffet a short distance away with a great Buffet at a good price and a Hooters is also near by. The hotel is near the highway and a 40 minute drive from the Fort Walton Beach area. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly.

This hotel is actually Budget Inns doing business as Days Inn. I did not know this, when I booked this room for 2 nights. I feel that this is misrepresentation. I had stayed at DAYS INNS in the past and they were clean. Not the case with this hotel. Upon checking in I rang the front desk to let them know that there was no T.V.remote in the room. I was told by the desk clerk that she would not bring me one, that I would have to walk down and get it myself because she had hotel laundry to do. So, I did, only to get back to the room and she had given me the wrong remote. Again, I was informed that I would have to walk down to the lobby AGAIN to get another one.
The floor was weak and soft at the door where it had gotten wet at some point. There was mildew in the shower, filthy greasy hand prints all over the back of the bathroom door, and worst of all what appeared to be feces splattered on the wallpaper in the bathroom. I would not take a bath in the tub so I had to run water in the sink and bathe from it. When I pushed the stopper to let the water out, it did not work and was stopped up. I had to dig the metal stopper out of the sink and what came out with it made me sick. Wads of hair with some type of black sludge stuck all over it. I immediately went to the lobby and complained to the man on duty. He said he would give us another room, BUT NEVER DID!!! The next morning when the owner/manager came in he phoned the room and I told him that I felt I should be compensated in some way. He disagreed and proceeded to curse me and told me to call whomever I wanted. I am one of the easiest people in the world to please, but this was absolutely unbelievable. The mattress felt like a mattress that you put in a baby crib, they were extremely uncomfortable and the sanitary conditions are unacceptable. The continental breakfast consisted of bananas, stale powdered doughnuts and stale bagels. This has left a very bad impression with me and I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER DAYS INN WITHOUT FIRST CHECKING TO MAKE SURE IT IS A REAL DAYS INN AND NOT A BUDGET MOTEL DOING BUSINESS AS A DAYS INN. BECAUSE OF WHAT I HAD TO ENDURE AT THIS ONE. This is a true BUDGET hotel but with a LUXURY price attached to it.
