“They Will Steal!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2009

They steal from secured rooms. I have a certified document from the Cocoa Police Department to verify claim of loss. The Cocoa Police said that another robbery in this hotel just occurred a few months ago. I was the second person to file a claim. The assistant manager, Michael Holligoss, strung me along for three days as to whether or not the owner, an in absentia person who goes by the name of "Mr. C', would make good on my stolen property. I lost three days in the lobby awaiting to hear what they would do. Guess what? They stated their insurance did not cover it, and they would not pay restitution. Then to top it off, I was expected to pay them for the privilege of being robbed! Is this what they mean by Wyndham Reward Points? You will leave with your room secured and return with your room secured....but, your possessions witll be gone. Please don't even consider this place as an option,,,,unless you want to leave with less than your arrived with.

“Not The Best.....Not The Worst.....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2009

......place that I've stayed (that was in a Days Inn in Fayetteville, NC...but a totally different story). We stayed at the Super 8 Cocoa for one night last October while awaiting the arrival of other friends that were flying down to Fla. We were all meeting up for a cruise out of Port Canaveral and wanted a place to all meet up and spend the night. Although the place is not the Taj Mahal....it's not a slum either. It was located DIRECTLY adjacent to I-95....very good...especially after driving all the way from New Jersey. It is, however, in a semi-secluded area that gives it the appearance of being a back-woods kind of place. The rooms were, for the most part, acceptable. We took a dip in the pool the afternoon of our arrival, and that was quite refreshing. The Super 8 web-site boasts a "stocked fishing pond"...well...it's there all right. It's really nice...and although others may be put off by something like, "Beware of Alligators" signs....I thought it was pretty interesting.

All in all...our stay at the Super 8 was okay. We were close enough to Cocoa Beach to make the 15 minute drive there and spend the night before our cruise having a nice dinner...and shopping at the Ron-Jon Surf Shop....at 1:30am!! (I guess that's what vacations are for?)

If your looking for, or are accustomed to, higher end accomodations...then maybe this isn't the place to be. But, if you need a good rate for a night or two stay...then it's acceptable.

Also...a quick FYI......this hotel is ATTACHED...to a Ramada Inn...so the two hotels share the same pool. The only difference that I could see between the two hotels was the colors of their doors, the different entrance lobby's...and the Ramada has a restaurant...which is open to all hotel guests...and others.

“Run don't stay”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2009

We checked in to celebrate our Anniversary and see the Shuttle lift off on July 13th. When we arrived we found our room to have a musty smell to it, no receptical for the coffee maker and NO internet that we needed to have and were told would have. After we brought these complaints to the front desk, the clerk told us that she would try to get a hold of the manager (from what we gathered is a difficult thing to do) to have him get us a room at the Ramada (a joint hotel, same owner and manager) for NO EXTRA Charge. After about 2 hours of waiting and getting more and more frustrated we were told that there were no rooms available at the Ramada, she could refund our money and we could find another place to stay, this is now after 5pm. It seems funny how when we went over to the Ramada to use their internet to find another place to stay we found out they DID have a room for that night and we took it. We stayed for 2 nights and ended up having to pay the extra cost of the room. I was then told that if I wanted to dispute the charges I could call this manager MIKE HILLIGOSS because he was not on the premises. Needless to say after all the frustration I ended up with a whopper of a headache and really didn't feel like celebrating our anniversary at all that night. Thanks alot MICHAEL. I will never stay at this particular location ever again after being treated like that. We got the feeling from the manager that he really didn't care about his customers and from what I heard around both hotels we were not the first to have problems with him. I will say however that the girls on the desks at both places were as nice as they could possibly be. Coodos to them for working in places like that.

“Watch out for roaches and other creatures”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2009

My husband and I booked this room to stay for a couple nights before we left on a cruise out of Port Canervral Florida. Firt thing it was late when we arrived. They gave us our keys and we went our room and they didn,t work I had to go back and have them re swipe them again. The people were outside drinking and hanging out Scary. Then we enter in Oh MY God>>>> My husband goes to the bathroom first I hear him stomping his feet . I said what are you doing he says Roaches. I freaked .I started putiing allour luggage up on the tables and looking around the room. Crawling up the wall by the bed was worm type thing that was furry and it was bye the bed. Now I am frightened to sleep here. I used my cell to try and call our friends who were staying in Cocao Beach to get out of there bot now it is 11:20 at night so no answer. The refridgerator had 2 inches of rust inside and out going up the door I would have never used that thing. The place really far from anything around . That night we ended up having to sleep there and we only got about 2 hours sleep because I had an anxiety attach and we had to calla doctor because I am very scared od creature like that. this place is unaccetblr for poeple to be staying at and should really be looked unto. In the morning they did give us credit bit not what we paid for the night we checked out early but would not refund our whole stay and we are angry . Any who has to put up with that deserves a money bak in full. We do have pictures if any would like to see them.
