“Not the best”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

The Econo Lodge is not a resort. The name is misleading. It is an old motel with a swimming pool. The motel is situated in the heart of the Coastal Highway No. One , near a big outlet s mall, including 3 Tanger malls. The motel is 10 minutes drive from Rehoboth beach and 20 minutes from Dewey beach. The interior is nothing to write home about. Room was clean and they serve a free breakfast.

“It was only hotel available”

We decided to go to Rehoboth at last minute and this was only hotel with a room available. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, little over priced It was fairly convenient to the beach. Bathrooms could use a bit more attention from the maids, did see a tiny area of mold in the shower. All in all, I would stay here again if it were the only thing available.

“Filthy horrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

Was booked at different property but they had overbooked so I was relocated to the EconoLodge. What a horrible experience and I now realize why this place would have vacancy on weekend in the peak of season: it's overpriced filthy and they don't care.
The room: the sheets on one of the 2 queen beds were wrinkled and appeared to have been used. Sheets and pillowcases on both beds smelled awful.
The blanket on both beds dirty with other people's hair stuck on.

The baseboard of both beds was lined with litter - pieces of oatmeal and crumbs, a bottlecap on the floor near the bed.

When turned on the air conditioner horrible moldy mildew smell.

Breakfastselection bad. Internet speed bad. Everything about this place is BAD.
ALMOST checked out and sleep in the car would be better choice.

“Decent place for price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

Room was clean. Pool was nice. The hotel is outdated and a bit run down but served our purposes (baseball tournament in Georgetown). Cracker Barrel next door was a bonus when everyone was too tired to go anywhere else. breakfast at hotel was fine.

“Adequate - in need of a make-over!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2011

Spent 4 nights here prior to and during my son's baseball tournament. Room was small (2 queens), very small bathroom. Room and property showed it's age. Upon check in the air conditioner was NOT plugged in (outside temp was 100 degrees!). Took a couple of hours to get the room cooled down. Several wash cloths and cans of sunscreen spray had fallen behind furniture and not removed by housekeeping. In fairness housekeeping did a good job of keeping the room neat and clean. The continental breakfast was very plain - I'd suggest Crystal restaurant or the adjacent Cracker Barrel for b'fast. Weekend prices were very expensive for this quality of accommodations - I'd think with a little research here one could do much better both in price and quality.
